Nicely explained, thank you. However, architecture of the mind must play a role in this process. Some of us find it impossible to grasp on that stick of comfort when we know that the stick can not exist, even at our most vulnerable. I pity those weak individuals who feel this necessity and despise those whom take advantage of the weak in this power dynamic.

"...we are *abandoned* to discovering ourselves..we are abandoned by the idea / no longer capable of putting any credence into the idea that something else (such a "god"/ or a person) will come along to make it alright for ourselves..we must choose and the burden of that choice is urgent...might not seem so when things are going smoothly but even our happiness after a while becomes questionable ..Nietzsche said: "the greatest moment you can have is when your own happiness becomes disgusting to you" (we might have believed that happiness itself makes our lives worth living, but it doesn't!)..."
