Women in Andhra Pradesh , Tamilnadu and West Bengal wear cotton handloom sarees. Whatever be the weather , cotton fabric is skin friendly. Weavers benefit economically. Cotton mills of Davanagere produced beautiful cotton sarees in 70s. Unfortunately the mills had to be shut down as ladies of karn ataka preferred synthetic.
