I moved to fla twice and moved back when I was younger. My husband wants to retire in fla. I will go where he goes. I’ve been look at Sarasota. I need the arts and history.

North Port is the best town if you want to raise a family. No question about it.

Good info. I liked Lakewood Ranch and Sherwood Forest .

Osprey and Northport are nicest. No pedestrian or foot traffic. Everywhere else in Sarasota other then Townhomes tends to be a rancher. The beach is nice. Great highway and traffic to the city

Hello Tesy. Thank you for watching. the housing market is pretty busy. Anything under $300,000 moves very quick. Homes over $500,000 are on the market a little longer, up to 6months. $750,000 and up there is some great opportunities. Also, there are some great deals on new construction homes. Properties are not moving that quickly now especially because a lot of people don't want to go through houses and others don't want people going through their houses if they are still living there prices will probably continue to see downward pressure in the months to come so I don't think you need to be in a hurry to do anything at all and you can probably stand to benefit over the next 18 months if you take your time and waste and know exactly which neighborhoods you like the most good luck

Median home price in North Port is not $174K. Try more like $250 for low end. This is the fastest growing town in Sarasota.

Hello and thank you for watching. The stat of the median home price is reports pull from the board of realtors based on all homes sold in the area. But I agree you can get a great home in from the mid 200s to mid 300s. Thank you so much for mentioning how great the area really is. Some of the best values in Florida.

Yeh ..sarasota does tend to think its lined in gold .. I moved here in 86 and I really miss the older downtown . there is WAY too much building going on ..just because there is a square and some grass does not mean ya need to build . we are getting traffic circles put in in areas they havevNO business being . we have old people on meds ! We dont need traffic circles . the wages do not meet the expenses . so unless you have money ..dont come . Im educated . nurse . still not enough . sad .

Very sad, none of these videos mention our mini skid row style tent cities and serious homeless "problem." So much wealth and homelessness mixed, sad is the perfect description of it. The realtors will never tell you about that.

Am considering moving to Sarasota County to a 55 and over community. 10-15 min from beach, no golf course needed. Pool for water aerobics is highly desirable. What are average median condo prices in this area, fees, insurance Costs and taxes. Just beginning my search and want to spend a few weeks there in summer before making a final decision.
