We started playing last Christmas & it’s so much fun. We added candy, cell phone chargers, lottery tickets, gum, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, wireless headphones, $1’s & $5’s, deodorant, body wash, food gift cards & in the center $20. We bought the LARGE Dollar Tree toy foam dice & played without the oven mitts.

We're doing this, I started the ball, my daughter in law will get it n add to it, then back to hubby then to son, so it's a surprise for all we are adding lottery tickets, fishing stuff, aprons etc

I tried this game today. I had 8 grand daughters from the age of 2 - 7 years old. Since we have 3 two year olds, the rules needed to be fairly simple. We did not use the dice. I had them sit in a circle on the floor and gave them each a Ziplock bag to place their prizes in. We played music and stopped the music when a child received a few things during their turn. When the music stopped, they stopped unwrapping and then passed the ball to the next person in the circle. They even did some trading at the end as some kids got something other kids loved, etc. It was fun and fairly easy. We made the balls with one piece of continuous saran wrap... shorter pieces would have worked better in hind sight.

love playing this. My mom use to put this together (her & my sister)... My mom passed away so I'm trying to put this together tomorrow for my nieces, nephews, brother, sister ect. Our kids are becoming young adults. I like to play w them. So much fun and laughter ❤ Merry Christmas Everyone ❤️

Looks like fun. I seen another game yesterday where there were a bunch of different mugs with bows on top and each person gets to pick a mug one of the mugs was clear & contained a dollar bill under it, but some of the other ones you couldn't see through contained a 5, a 10 & A 20, some contained more than 1 bill, some contained candy, some contained nothing. Looked like a fun game too. Whatever you can fit under a mug. It's fun to see who will go for the sure thing and who's willing to gamble on something better.

Thanks for all the great advice! Tried my first one last year. So much fun! We were all adults so I mostly put money but the real fun was all the coins flying out all over the place!! HAHAHA! Question: Did I see you guys wrapping up individual items in saran wrap prior to incorporating them in the ball? If so, is the person supposed to unwrap that first before they continue unwrapping the big ball?

This time we will have about 50 people at the party so we are going to try only taking turns by family, then they can take turns within their own group. Hope it works!

Instead of using the dice, I think maybe to start the game you play music and when it stops it goes to the next person. That is how my niece did hers one time. Just pick someone that is doing the music doesnt not favoring anybody lol. Like she chose me to do the music because I’m visually impaired and I can’t see who has the ball so I would just stop it whenever. Just a thought.

We printed pictures of family members who were going to play game if you got a pictures you could swap with that person before game over. Again you make your rules we Inc funny pictures of people that took random throughout year. Also another thought could be alphabetic letters written could do same if you didn't want want to do pictures
