The era of black professionals of music such as Ella, Sarah, Diana Washington is nothing short of astounding. Despite all obstacles their music is still relevant and in my opionion has not been matched. Elegance, style and showmanship that has only been imitated.Although, I think Rachel Ferell, Cassandra Wilson, Nicole Henry, and Diana Ross have made an impact and time demands changes, my preference is old school late 50,60,70 jazz vocals.

Thank you so much sir Marco. I have to admit that she is my all-time favorite female jazz singer. The greatest. I was lucky enough to see her in Hollywood on her birthday many years ago. She sang till 4 in the morning. And it sounds rather poetic, but it changed my life. Minimally my music appreciation life. Thanks again.

I am just enamored at her virtuosity. Never another. I am so fortunate to have lived in this era she bridged the gap in so many levels with her music and notice how she acknowledges her musicians artists don't do that anymore. Sassys tempo changing clever phrasing incredible timing and vocal utilization instrumental are second to none. One of the Great Scat masters

Marvelous! Well done video, the feeling of her singing in an intimate club atmosphere is right there on the screen. Miss her so very much. I don't get the impression from many of the modern day girl singers that they can romance a tune as she can. She's all around it in every aspect. Miss Andy Simpkins and Uncle Harold, too.

She got better and better with time. I learned to adore her more and more as I grew. She is so darling and fun and elegant but down to earth. Love that dress!
