Thanks.... It was a fun build. The apes are 12" (7/8" dia) I was able to use all stock cables and wire, but decided to get a longer brake hose for looks and the fact it did pull a little. As far as the seat.. I bought the pan off Ebay and had it covered with pink material. Then I built the mounting brackets. At the time I was doing this bike, there was a springer seat available from West Eagle...

@paladain55 I think some of it has to do with the Virago being a v-twin.. I know I couldn't believe how good they make her bike sound...

Very nice sound, now "bob it", loose the lollipop turn signals, front fender, replace the tail light and move the lic. hanger to the side. It will look as good as it sounds.

it's the same design... the pretty chrome pipe on the rear jug is a dummy pipe. (cool to the touch while running) Honest! That is there to give the illusion of 2 into 2.... but it actually is exhausted down under the bike and then into the exhaust pipe...

I suppose if they are more comfy than the stock bars, go for it.. I guess I just "stereo typed" ape hangers to Harleys. Do you find them just as easy to drive with?

Are the apes 12" or 14"? and where did you get the springer seat? Very well done by the way.
