Beautiful kitchen Sarah, it was well worth the wait. I love how gold handles and plug sockets are coming back, I much prefer the gold to the chrome, it makes the whole kitchen look richer and warmer. Bet you can't wait to start using it now! x 😊

Love the utility room!

My heart sank when I saw the need for a new roof. Egads. But how far you came from open air to magnificence. Brilliant design plan, enjoyed learning your thought process. Looks like a functional well thought out plan. Truly beautiful! Cook top: In the US I use Weiman glass top cleaner. The sales woman was going on and on about it, I tuned her out...three days after install I tuned her in with a purchase. This stuff is bloody brilliant. It helps form a protective SMUDGELESS film. I use it every time I use my cook top. If you stay on top of it, big spills or splatters will whisk away. Otherwise you will have smudges and caked on ick. : ) I use a paper towel to buff the reside of the cream into streak free nirvana. The liquid bottle is the one I use daily. Hope that helps! PS. never allow aluminum foil on or near your cook top. There is some weird reaction that will actually bond - magnetize the aluminum to your surface and it will permanently stain and there is no recovery. You spent a pretty penny on that bad boy and I want to make sure you don't make that mistake. If there is any heat remaining on a burner...you are in danger with aluminum foil.

It's a great remodel. However it looks quite hemmed in, still dark and claustrophobic despite the extension! I wonder why you didn't extend more conventionally to the garden and open up a whole wall of glass bifolds? Also a top to max light in the roof light I've seen is to line the cube with mirrors. It's still a v small roof light proportionally to the room!

Mix spirit vinegar and water 50/50 in a spray bottle and it will really clean your induction cooker. Your kitchen looks great. It must be very light when sunny outside.

The sink should go where the stove is and the stove should go where the sink is, and that way she could’ve added an air vent above the stove and it wouldn’t have been in the way

This is lovely but as interior designer , the layout needs adjustment specially the placement of the sink and refrigerator, they r soo far from each other, would exchange the sink with the cooktop

Ebony shears, I don’t believe she was using the word “mess” in the sense that she was referring to untidiness. I believe she was using it in the manner of it being undesirable in the way individuals use the phrase “hot mess.”

It's fab but way too many downlights, their reflection in the work surfaces would drive me mad, it's like the landing strip in a provincial airport. Why? I'm glad you're happy with it though.

Hold up, your BEFORE kitchen was bloody immaculate. I get that everyone has different tastes and is perfectly within their rights to style their house how they want it, but christ what a waste! Hopefully at least some of the units we're salvaged. I don't mean this to come off as a personal attack on you, but I can't help but see this sort of thing and lose a bit of faith in humanity. We're such a wasteful species considering the finite resources of this planet. 99% of the planet would have been perfectly content with the old kitchen, or at least used it until it was old and worn out enough to justify the replacement. Sorry, but I can't help but get worked up about this sorta thing. One man's trash is another man's treasure I suppose.

Why does you voice go up in pitch as if you're asking a question? It's incredibly annoying.
