Sarah is One of the most eloquent songwriters of our time. It's women like Sarah that make life itself all the richer...A truly beautiful soul; she has gaced us with her presence...God Bless Sarah, her band mates and her family:-)

This is the most underrated song ever. It's so strong, but it's so little known.. One of my favorites.

This is why FTE is always going to be the best album. It has a real edge to it. She got too saccharine after this album.

So beautiful....thank you Sarah. To me this song is the Spirit talking to one who comes seeking a vision but is unable to let go.

There’s a timelessness to this song and Sarah’s voice. Only those pesky PC monitors in the background give away the passage of years.

I miss when her music had this dark edge to it. Her current music is the epitome of soccer mom music now lol

i lost my dvd "fumbling towards ecstasy" 2 yrs ago and cant find it anywhere in stores. it was an original bought years ago when it first came out and actually had the interactive portion included with original artwork and everything. i watched that thing 10 times a week and would have given anything to have been there at Pierre Marchand's home studio for those recordings! this vid is from that dvd and should be considered one of the rare few gems of musical history!!

It seems like these days, Sarah McLachlan is only ever carted out to perform "Angel" and then put back into deep storage (yes, she tours still, but I'm talking about special appearances). "Angel" is a beautiful song, but *these* songs need to be celebrated far more than they are. She is far from a one-hit wonder.

@razrv3lc : This is probably the greatest song in the history of civilization. And the way her voice just slightly cracks at the very end is DEVASTATING.

She's so cute here, check out the jeans and work boots, just love it. Hard to believe she was just 27 and a few yrs away from her first Lilih Fair.

Not to sound overly dramatic, but this is probably the most epic song in the history of recorded music. The way her voice cracks in the final second (4:00) is nothing short of devastating.

I know! So many years later and I still think that was such a weird choice!lol But what the heck, what do I know. 🤷🏻♀️ It still is an amazing song, and I’m glad it worked well despite that hooting!lol
