My hubby passed away April 2, 2019. One the year anniversary of his passing, I drove his truck. He had a USB drive with all his music downloaded, in the stero. I was listening to all his songs, and each song brought up a different memory. Then the song "I Love You", by Sarah played. I lost it. But then this song came on, and I had to stop driving; I was bawling, uncontrollably. This song is absolutely beautiful.

The words in this song were constantly my thoughts when my husband had cancer and was at home in hospice…. I laid in the bed next to him and prayed for a miracle…I prayed that he would sleep well through the night and he would be pain free in the morning and I would see his beautiful smile, sadly that didn’t happen, every time I hear this song I breakdown….he passed away March 29, 2021 at 63 years old, we were together for over 40 years he was the love of my life, my best friend, the father of our 3 children and Papa to our 2 grandchildren.. most days I don’t want to get out of bed knowing he’s not here.

This song makes me think of December 31, 2008. I was in the hospital having a baby I named Sarah who didn't make it. The next day I started chemotherapy for the cancer that took my daughter the day before. Not knowing if I'd live for my husband or my other children was scary. Thank God I'm still alive. So hearing this really touches a sensitive spot in my heart. Thanks Sarah for getting me through this.

Sonja Wichern I'm so sorry sweetie! You Hold On! Did chemo 3 times and just stayed in remission in 09 for the fist time. My life is still so hard & my hubby has gone crazy & I still struggle! He broke my heart, time & time again! Now he serves time in the penitentiary. 😤 I don't understand so much but I am a strong person. Our daughters & grandsons are my every reason to HOLD ON! Love & Hugs to you & your's. 😚

Tom Lord-Alge did the mix for the Mirrorball album and the DVD which is what we hear. Not sure who her FOH mixer was at the time.

My mom used to play Surfacing on when I went to bed as a kid. At 24, I still have a really strong attachment to Sarah’s music

Magical Sarah--Mirrorball is in my Top 5 all time faves of all time. Timeless music.

I like this version better than the original...it's just better when she does it live on mirrorball and I love her always will I was a young girl when I started listening to mirrorball and surfacing both amazing albums good enough to make you cry...I felt the emotions of this music even at 13 years old

A lot of the songs on the Mirrorball album are better than the originals imo! "Path of Thorns", "I Will Remember You", "Wait", "You Do What You Have to Do", just to name a few. The mark of a truly talented singer and performer!

We used to listen to this when we were young. We would hold each other, looking long into each other’s eyes. A love like nothing I had ever felt. It was so perfect. That was 18 years ago. I wonder where you are now and if you are happy. Thank you for that.

my wife died of cancer in 2018 - it feels like this song was written for me

I found the Mirrorball disc in a box that my ex had left behind 2001 and there is no title on the disc itself so I popped it in the player walked away and started cleaning my house. Before I realized it I was loving this beautiful angelic voice. I took the disc to my computer, popped it in and the information came up. I've been a huge fan ever since. I sat 3rd row at the Greek for one her shows and she was absolutely amazing.

Sister? Nope. Thats Camille Henderson, an actor/songer/vocal coach from Vancouver. She was in a Canadian pop band West End Girls in the early 90’s before joining Sarah as backing vocalist. Her dad was a singer/songwriter, best known for his work with the 70’s -80’s canadian rock band Chilliwack.

Sheila Glover Joss Stone, who has an absolutely stunning voice-her tone, vibrato, range in her chest voice and control are insanely remarkable, is notorious for singing bare foot-says it makes her feel grounded. I dig it.
