Her mind is beautiful... I wish I had a way with words like she does.

What's better is if you have a way with words like you do. Your voice is important, it doesn't deserve to be compared.

i scrolled down and saw this just as she started to say it. it was almost scary
Not sure if it's because I've heard too many of her poems .... But it really broke my heart to hear she's heart broken. Such wonderful woman she seems to be. Hope she heals well and soon.

I would listen to her read a shopping list. Her voice is so relaxing
I liked the turning point in this poem. That line 'he has moved into someone else's body', so deft. The entire ending 👌🏾

Harshita Jajani that's so sad...
sarah just captures everything im feeling. i find a video with her poem and every time its exactly the poem i need to hear. its exactly how im feeling. i wish there was a way to say thank you for the words this stranger has given me which meant as much to her ❤ but anyway thank you. thank you thank you thank you. id never find these words on my own
when she said "let the sunset not be my time running our but only the hour of the day" I FELT THAT
Dear Sarah, you're still the thoughtful beautiful guardian angel of every feeling soul. Thank you for your honesty.
Let this poem, be just a poem... Sarah Kay is perfection.
a new vid from sarah! my heart just leapt. and yes I also find metaphors in everything. a dimple of a workmate, or a faucet not turned off properly or the flower in the middle of the road. I always find patterns of people's behaviors or conversations or reasons. And yes it is hard, to try to understand something, or someone, and only fail to do so. Sometimes a message in the middle of the night is just a message. Sometimes a song sang together was just a song. Sometimes shared hobbies are just shared hobbies.

I listen to this at least twice a year. It’s my favorite poem of hers.
This poem really resonates with me, because she describes so beautifully the "poet's curse".
I can't stop coming back to this and listening again. She has such a nice cadence.
She speaks to my heart and seems to read my mind. Thank you for being so inspiring Sarah Kay.
I come back to this poem so so often. Sarah, if you ever read this, know that your words touch me so deeply and i am so thankful that you write. Your mind seems to work a lot like mine and that is comforting xx
I've always loved poetry since I was a little girl. Only 6 years old and writing poems about love, poems about nature, and about family. Now 16, my passion for it had drifted since then, until I found Sarah Key. The way your mind finds the perfect words and the way your voice carries them out is magical. Really makes me want to write again about the deeper meanings that already roam my mind all day. Thank you for being the great poet that you are and for being my new idol. Really hope you read this all though the chances are low. Thank you. (Btw I'm from Puerto Rico! Haha)

@Mariana Fraher I didn't expect this at all but it made my day for sure. THANKS 💕
Sarah, your words, tumbra , illumination inspire me. I was brought up with Ogden Nash, A.A. Milne, The Dr. Sues, Shakespeare, and late at night I write, not for anybody else but for me, and I hear your voice and it is inspiring. .
You are so great! I love that you look at images and moments of life in your very special way Sarah!.
I've listened to it so so many times and it still breaks my heart. You're such a gift Sarah kaye ❤❤❤
She always leaves me speechless. I love her poetry so much.
one of my forever favorite poems. so, so lovely.
Yet another piece which I can painfully relate to. Kudos to you, Sarah Kay. You're my heroine ♡
gOD. THIS POEM YALL. it's one of those poems that make you feel sorrow for lives you've never lived. possibilities you could have had. it makes you think of all those people who promised you forever and you believed them, only to find yourself alone at the end of it all. and i love every bit of it.
Listening to Sarah Kay grabs you in and makes you feel like just for once, nothing else matters, and the world is all beautiful. 💓💓💓💓
YES! Oh Sarah Kay, you're work is so beautiful and your words are magic!
Wow. This is beautiful. I can relate so much to this. There are too many times where I wish I could just live without giving life too much meaning, when it would be easier just to let it be.
This spoke to me. I love her poetry so much.
Her voice is so calming, i listen to it endlessly.
Sarah Kay's poems are always different from anything I have heard before, they're truer; they're fuller; they are more honest. They are parts of the poems that completely refers to me but I couldn't put in words ordinarily... Sarah, you are really phenomenal.
Love love love your work xx
“Let the sunset not be my time running out but only the hour of the day” -this got me.
Oh… break my heart and let tears fall from my eyes, will ya? Gosh. She's really good ❤️

I love Sarah
aaaaaand crying
Oh God that was heartbreaking.
Yo la amo.
Relentless weight of meaning. I like that alot.
someone i can listen to all the time!!!!
My idol.
Thinking you finally found love and realizing he talk to everyone as if they are his life long love is deathly hearth breaking. When he moved on so quickly made me give up on love mentally. People come and go and sometimes leave a imprint so deep... u call it me but its really it...🤫😏
I cried a little the first time
Your poems give me life
how to not love her?
There is always a reason that they are called your ex they were meant to be there so that God can bring to you someone beautifully made to love just you. I'm sorry that he hurt you. You have a beautiful way of communicating ones life sounds better than I could have said it. Thank you
Hello, I want to show my friends this poem, but they don't really understand that much of English. So, I want to do the transcription of the subs to spanish, may I?
plz which one of her poems include a wonderful metaphor abt nuclear bomb ?
This is like a caress to my brain
👏👍💕
This... this one struck me.
"I have come here to hide from my sorrow."
Wow, way to tug the heartstrings, hugs to you
Call each thing by its right name
fuck.... she is so good
how does she know my life story...
and here i am back again ...........
I also do the thing where I give everything an hidden meaning and it's kind of frustrating sometimes
Hey... Today, it would have been useful if someone had told me this wasn't a metaphor... I was with a group of people. We all had a marker, each a different color. Mine was dark blue, the girl next to me had a red one, and the boy I liked had a yellow one. I said: "Hey, the three of us make the primary colors". But then, I looked at the girl next to him: his girl best friend. She had a light blue marker.
I know how her mind works... my mind works that way... they say its a gift but....
OMG that like me to a T somedays
Wonderful recitation as if it was her own story!!
Sometimes i don't understand her poems Who in the right mind would breakup with her
owo! 💕
l am madly in love with you
As usual TOUCHED!!!
how to be you
man, i've never related so hard... except my metaphors aren't quite as beautiful.
" a pack of young men "
Who is this man who left her. He's wrong
I cannot see the big deal about jumping off a rock ledge.
this poem has gotten me through so many heartbreaks 🤍
