Sara Jessica Parker has the most southing, flawless and elegant voice I've ever heard. Feels like watching an SATC episode with fashion and jazzmusic, just like SATC had! Also reminds me when Carrie reads her "poetry" about the Oscar De La Renta dress in a Vogue magazine to her Petrovsky in "the ick factor" episode of Sex and the City. Thank you Vogue for this wonderful video, more of this please!

Would love to see more informative 'history of fashion' videos...with info such as what inspired the shapes / styles, was it thought of as controversial at the time etc etc. Love this video but, for me, much better if it were longer. I could happily pore over the images so, beautiful as they were, the split second snaps weren't really long enough

Flea markets if your lucky, ebay or look up if you got a library/museum in your town that have collected fashion magazines old and new.

haha I think this is one of the most hideous , stiff, unattractive and restrictive decades in fashion. from the shape of those brows, the length of the sleeves to those shapes, hate all of it. Though yes I agree, we need a little more class in fashion but we don't need to be stuffy, uptight or matronly either. The 50s are by far my least favorite decades of fashion. Love that SJP narrated the video.
