Technically, Morisette is a better vocalist. In reality, Sarah has poor technique. You can hear nasality and tensions which results strains, and unsupported notes when she sings but I think these are intentional (or at least some of it). Despite of these issues, she still has good breathing technique, vocal placement, control, improving agility and mixed voice, and an amazing head voice. If I'm correct, she could support up to D5 (outdated), and with the improvement she is showing I think she has a wider supported range now. If not in the high register, maybe the lower register. Morisette may be a better vocalist than Sarah BUT Sarah is a better singer. In terms of musicality, Mori can't beat Sarah. That's a fact. Sarah is known for being a genre-killer, and different genres need different technique/approach. It just means that Sarah is a pro and is very wise when it comes to music. I think reinventing is just as hard as having consistent technique. That's why story-tellers like Sarah capture the hearts of many. Emotions are what most people hear and that's what they hear in Sarah's voice, and "ACTING" a song is difficult. It involves control, dynamics, gospel, soul, style, phrasing, transitions, etc. which Sarah, I believe, is good at. Performance-wise, Sarah is the best. PERIODT And I think all of these are possible because she doesn't prioritize technique at all but that doesn't mean that she is overall technically poor. Proof? Well, her voice never cracked (piyok) which means she has very nice vocal placement, and control. Her imperfections made her sing the most wonderful renditions and songs and that's what made her the LEGEND she is today. Once again, she is incomparable.

Morisette is strong when it comes to transition, agility, tone, range and supported range, and falsetto. She is well-trained that's why she has a great foundation but she still has some weaknesses. She has a weak head voice, occasional nasality (but i think it's gone now or less), she tends to oversing and has a poor vocal habit which results vocal damage and voice cracks. She may have good technique but this won't work if she will continue to oversing. That's why musicality is also important. It's like discipline.

The amazing thing about sarah g is that she can bend her own voice in order to fit in a specific genre or whatever she sings both on stage and in studio. Unlike morisette, katrina, regine and the other divas who CAN sing different sing different genre (r&b, pop, rock, opera, country, etc) but tends to still sound like a ballad singer singing a different genre. Sarah on the other hand, doesn't have the greatest voice but her voice fits in every genre. She is able to change not just the range but her tone, dynamic, runs & riffs all changes depending on the genre she sings.

Sarah has X factor that no one has in this generation.

May iba't iba tayong iniidolo. Noong di ko pa kilala si mori, Sarah is one of my idol but afterwards nakilala ko si Mori, napahanga ako sakanya. Namangha ako sa Tone, growls, effortless belting, squakes, whistle niya. She has the power na sobrang gandang pakinggan, the resonance tho. Both are versatile. Respect my opinion.

She was just like Nora Aunor and Sharon Cuneta but there's something that separate her from them, she got this pipe and versatile voice with amazing dancing skills that allows her to creat a World class Caliber performance. You can't touch THE SARAH GERONIMO believe me 😉 So stop comparing her supremacy with starlet. Hindi lang dahil marami siyang kakaining bigas, kundi kailangan pa niya/nila magbinhi, magtanim at mag ani, maghugas ng bigas at isaing bago makain ang finish product. Just sayin..
