Lovely move for the goal , but what was the Preston keeper doing - using the tip of his toes to deflect it past his hand ! . regarding keepers ,Angus has made some odd mistakes in last few matches - particularly against the Sheffield weds corners & dropping crosses & completely flapping at an easy ball late today at Preston .. Hope it's just temporary & he'll be back to his reliable best for the rest of season .

@@allowah6It can still happen, because players can 'emerge' during the course of a Championship season. Having secured promotion with those players (as Norwich have done previously) the club then has the potential option of cashing in on their best talent during the summer - in which case, the process of rebuilding starts over again. Frustrating, of course, for supporters and management alike - but that is the harsh financial reality of football today.

Well done! How many teams get promoted from the Second Division (Championship League)? The first two then another one chosen from the next 4? ie 3? I am a Norwich City fan for hundreds of years (?) living in Australia (Perth) now so need educating on the current situation. How many more games to go?

Yes, the first two get automatic promotion to the Premier League. Teams in 3-6 position enter the playoffs (team in place 3 plays team in place 6, team in place 4 plays team in place 5). Once the winners of these respective games have been decided, there is a play-off final between them at Wembley with the winner being promoted to the Premier League too.

Everyone needs to play 46 games, so Norwich have 3 games left in the regular season. Should we finish in spots 3-6 we will have a home match, then an away match, against another team in the playoff spots. If we win that match-up there's the playoff final at Wembley. So, Norwich have 3 more regular games, then potentially 3 more games. Anywhere up to 6 games left. Other teams still have games in hand. Southampton, for example, need to play 5 more regular games, then maybe up to 3 playoff games.
