@@AbdullahGalal That would be great! Also do you have video available to give adivce to people at entry level of SAP FICO or want to study FICO module, especially what kind of accounting or finance knowledge is required as the fundamental knowledge to start, career path, etc.

This was just Brilliant AG. actually I got a chance to work on closing cockpit and was not aware of it so had a lot problems, if this would have been there then this might have helped me lot. Also if you can include Asset Dep run in it and can show us how this executed would be of great help. Lastly we saw in the video Clander column, I think you missed the details of it required here, please if you can add the purpose of this as well - Many thanks

Hi Omesh, the closing cockpit is covered in a PDF of 220 pages in SAP academy, impossible to cover in videos :) It has soo much more to offer, the video only covers the introduction

Could you please clarify if task lists for month-end closing needs to be created for every month? Or its just defined for one month and for the subsequent months the task list is automatically created? 2. What happens in case of an exception or error handling?

Hi Piu, My information on FCC is basic, but I will answer as much as I know For the task list, yes I create them every month In case of error or exceptions the step can be marked as not processed or not passed, FCC is only a tracking tool

Hi Abdullah! Thank you for the video, it was really enlightening. I do have one question though. Our key date is the last Friday of the month and usually when we have planned offset days +1 for some tasks, they are shown in the FCLOCO on Monday. However some tasks that have +1 are shown on Saturday (a non-working day). So my question is how does the cockpit define when +1 is next working day, i.e. Monday, and when +1 is the next calendar day, i.e. Saturday? Is there an easy way to configure this task by task? Thanks!

Hi Abdullah, How can we assign the company code to closing cockpit. E.g: If we have multiple company codes, how can we segregate cockpit for company codes. Do we need to create multiple templates and task lists?

They are a standard part in SAP S4HANA as far as I know, never investigated this topic before

This was very helpful. I do have some queries as below. 1. Do they have a provision to upload any supporting documents when the task is marked as complete ? If yes, what type of documents ? 2. If the customer is having multiple instance of SAP, then close cockpit needs to be deployed in each instance or it is integrated with all instances ? 3. Do they have Audit trail ? If yes, please elaborate. 4. Any details regarding license concept for close cockpit ? Thanks in advance if you could share some insights on above mentioned points.

Hi Sathish, I haven't used SCMA but I know it's scheduling manager and can be used to schedule anything so maybe you can use it to do a similar function, but I'm sure it won't be like FCLOC as it's mad specifically for finance

Hi! This was very informative. When you put the person responsible or user for a step, will that limit who can execute that task? If someone tries to execute another person's step will they run into authorization errors either due to their roles or through the cockpit itself?

Hi Tracey, I don't think so, the authorization is managed by the user profile and authorization roles assigned, closing cockpit have no impact on this.

How can i see all the not started jobs and failed jobs in one view?

You can only execute the task lists, so anytime you want to execute you've to create a task list
