Document splitting is used to extract the document at that level which is under company code like profile centre,cost centre etc, Example if you purchase raw material 2 raw materials : Raw material 1 cost 8000 profit centre Y raw material 2 cost 2000 profit centre z input tax 1000 We can extract the document under company code leve document value is zero . But profit centre level we can't extract the document because document value is not zero with the help of document splitting we can extract profit centre level . Accounting entry Vendor cr 8800(profit centre Y) Raw material dr 8000profit centre Y) Input tax 800 Dr 2nd accounting entry Vendor cr 2200 (profit centre z) Raw material dr 2000 (profit centre z) Input tax 200 We can't split plants , document splitting only for fi and co .
