I guess they kind of consider Saoirse as a veteran, even though she is really young. She is been acting on screen since she is practically a child and has 3 Oscar nominations already. Everyone knows her, loves her, respects her craft and talent. Where as Timothee is kind of like a new discovery, not at all well known before CMBYN. That's why I think they were giving him a boost here.

You make a good point, but from how he answered it, it may have been a question she was supposed to ask him, his answer was natural smooth and perfect, he may have wanted to say something on it. Also he was dressed in all black, a staple of the movement, possibly that was why as well, I do see your point though.

honestly wtf why are the only questions that Saoirse is getting regarding her accent/Irish background while Timothée gets the more interesting ones? Nearly every article or video about Saoirse Ronan has Timothee's name in the title... even when he's not there, they ask about him. When the Little Women trailer dropped, his name was first in the video name. It's so messed up.

Obvious problem here. Questions for Saoirse: different pronunciations of her name, her accent Questions for Timothée: actors that inspire him, Time’s Up movement It’s a trend that I see so often. Women get the most basic questions while male actors get questions of substance. Saoirse is so amazing and has so much to give. Don’t get me wrong, I love Timothée so much (it’s gotten a bit excessive honestly) and it’s not his fault, but it’s hollwood’s and the press’ mindset. I would like to see a change, but that can’t start if we are blind to the problem

It's also so subtle that you don't really notice it. Until you actually notice it and it's all you see. Saoirse is more accomplished but they didn't seem to want to talk about her amazing work.

I wish they would’ve asked Saoirse more promising questions like they did with Timmothy. Love both actors to bits.

nitin suri also feel like this is a good example of questions that are asked to women and men on the red carpet. “Saoirse people don’t know how to pronounce your name huh?!” “Timmy who are your inspirations in acting?” “Saoirse is it hard to talk in an American accent!?!” “Timmy how is it like for men your age and the times up movement?” Timmy and saoirse are really graceful with their answers but women are still getting surface level questions on the red carpet.

Me too , I've always been noticing that , dark hair , green eyes , somewhat asymetrical features , posture and of course acting skills

I love talent. In my opinion Saoirse is one of the greatest actors of this generation. I have been a fan for years. I’ve only seen one film of Timmy’s but I can’t wait to see more. He was exceptional in call me by your name, that end scene WOAH. Also, I’m guessing she isn’t getting the age thing thrown around because she’s been in the industry awhile, has been a respected young actress for a while and has been nominated since she was a child.

You can tell Timothée froze and was silently freaking out when he got asked about Times Up, he was probably nervous Woody Allen would be brought up again lmao.
