She was born in NY. Both of her parents are Irish. They moved back to Ireland when she was 3. The Irish accent is hardly a fake. She is from Carlow, outside of Dublin. She has picked up a Dublin twang. She is one of those that has an ear for picking up sounds/nuance of accents. Hence, why she is so good at it in Ladybird, Atonement, etc. She has the ear. Her own accent never varies however, it is her accent.

I think most of the Irish actors I know and love, Saoirse and Cillian Murphy doesn't really do social media. That makes them even more interesting people. When you become a fan, you're in for life. I would one day visit Ireland for these 2 wonderful Irish actors I admire so much

Whenever she says 'Em' as we would say Oh, my heart flutters. l really love her movies, she's smart as a whip and fast on her feet with her responses and she's a very attractive young lady. l look forward to the next decades of movies from her, if l make it that far....l'm kind of ancient.

Fell in love with her acting and charisma in The Lovely Bones, her acting there deserved an Oscar nomination. Sad that her acting in it went underappreciated.
