I dont know much about real three sword style but i watched a video in which japanese sword master teaches how to actually really use three sword style and its by simultaneously using two swords attack n then throwing them away and the 3rd sword is not actually katana but a tanto (like a knife size) and instant stab. N the technique in this video is a bit near to that, appreciate it.

I mean I'm sure it was a thing but it was probably extremely rare since it's not really practical. The weight of each sword, followed by the mobility the sheathes get in the way of, and the fact they'd have to memorize which swords are for which situations would be a lot to keep up with in an IRL battle. Plus weapons weren't always extremely durable and most likely broke or cracked from wear and tear easily so carrying more than one or two swords wouldn't be the worst idea. It's like keeping an extra clip on you at all times.

@@wild5851 I guess for people that don't use swords they may get a little triggered. But a sword gets dull when you cut things as well. Even when cutting the practice mats soaked in water. All you have to do is sharpen it. It's not a big deal. Unless it's like family heirloom or an expensive antique. Swords also don't need to be cleaned exceissvely, regular quick maintenance is all it needs. Anything more is a bit obsequious.

@@another3166 i don't think they are, they don't look real, they don't shine/reflect as much, the hamon isn't visible, it looks fake in especially one of the handles and all the scabbards/sheaths look quite cheap. Also in 0:31 it looks a little too thick to be a katana.

From the first release of One Piece in our country, I also thought that putting a sword in his mouth was too impossible, but as we grew fond of it while watching the anime, we also grew to love this uniqueness. Thank you for showing us a realistic way of executing Santoryu. We all love Zoro for his unique handling of his third sword.
