SANTORINI, GREECE | Top 6 Places to visit in Santorini | April 2022
Santorini is the world famous volcanic island located in the most southern part of the Cyclades group of islands in the Aegean Sea. The blue sea and the caldera view with white washed house on the edge of the caldera is what santorini is famous for.
Greek is the official language of the island but because of the large influx of tourists almost everyone knows English in the island.
Though the peak season is from June to August when everything from hotel to travel to food is super expensive, the best time to visit Santorini is from April to May and September to October when the weather is warm and there is less crowd in the island.

Santorini is so beautiful! I always think that travels are made easier when you have the best travel gears and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for dream vacation destination like this. Thought I'd share it to you guys too!

Hey. When we went it was open. I think it’s till March. In April everything was open as you can see from the video as well. Hope this helps 😇

Hey, it was random street we stopped the bike and took videos as well as pictures there. The whole island will have flowers like this if you go during spring/summer.
how cold is it in december?
We are choosing a cruise that will visit Santorini. Can you tell me the dates you were there. Early, or Mid, or Late April. One cruise departs the third week of May.

I didn’t take the cruise option. I took a flight directly to Santorini from Athens. I was there Mid April. I visited other islands using the cruise which were available in April.
I am going this coming April is Fira and Oia far apart not sure where to stay

They are not that far apart, but Fira is the main town/area. It is centrally located. You would probably want to have transportation or take the bus. It actually can be walked, if one is a hiker! Oia is at the top end of the Island. While people think to go to Oia for sunset, as you can see, the actual angle, with the sun setting over the water, instead of off to the left, would be a Imerovigli or Fira. Imerovigli is the highest point, for views. Between Oia and Fira. Do your research online on Santorini travel sites, and travel sites like trip advisor. The level of accommodations, from simple to luxe, might be a big factor. As well as things like swimming pool, private plunge pool, direct 'Caldera' view, and food onsite, are big considerations.

Hey..I also went in April weather was good night it gets a little chilly but not too much. You cannot go into the water it’s super cold.
