My cousin was in Buddy's band in the mid to late 1980's and when they toured Northern California I went with them. Buddy would do a bit where he would get out from behind the drums, grab his guitar then solo for about 20 minutes. It was a bit long :) My cousin just did a tribute to Buddy with Joe Bonamassa on the vocals and guitar, Simon Philips on drums and Ernest Tibbs on bass playing Them Changes

Saw them '86 in the west-part of Berlin (Deutschlandhalle, which had an awful acoustic). The (forbidden) recording i made with a Walkman was a gift to Buddy Miles years later, when he celebrated his 30-year stage-anniversary (in relation to Hendrix's Band of Gypsies) at the Miles-Club in east-Berlin in 2000. Nice Flashback!

Was also a brilliant vocalist.Crazy as an outhouse mouse.Fun guy.First guy that I ever met who traveled with a full enterouge. They would walk into a bar at about 11 pm and just take over the place .Twenty or so cats, most of them as big or bigger than he...something to see.
A concert of Carlos Santana in his prime!
Jesus what a quality...🎉🎉🎉
There’s been nobody better for 50 years dammit Carlos was in his prime this show most of this band was on the brothers album along with Jorge I think it’s his best that and caravanserai they are my two favorite albums
Buddy was just amazing, when he was "on". What a voice. Like some many other greats, the drugs controlled him. This version of the Santana band is just smoking hot. Carlos makes it look easy.
Caught Carlos and this Band ex Buddy on tour at Wembley Arena around this time . What an awesome talent
I wish drugs never got the hooks in BM. He and Santana really had a wonderful connection.
Great concert! Thanks for uploading!...

Carlos Santana played at PeachTreeN.C, 73 and I dont think I ever saw anyting like it---he was inspired and played the Overture the Tahitian Revolt and there were fire works his & their original band and he wore a white suit---He is one of the guitar gods, and hats off to Buddy, love his Down By The RiverSong NeilYoungs ctually.but he is quite a blues man---great team wpould have loved to have been there.its quite a fete to be great artists as they.....

51 ? why the vitriol you don’t appreciate the Legendary Buddy Miles or Carlos at his finest ❓❓ 99 thumbs down to a non believer of Rock the Roll and unlimited Talent
Nice Flashback!
excellent!
I'm sure Jimi didn't know & his management didn't really give a damn how great Buddy Miles, Billy Cox, with Jimi Hendrix.
Buddy Miles and Santana plástica men of electric sound SKY positive vibration.

@timwhiteside, I agree to an extent - LOVE Carlos but tbh I can't listen to JH, screws my one braincell up too much, a feeling that it doesn't like too much tbh - BUT Carlos is on record as saying that JH REALLY liked what Santana the band were doing and he had visions of being JH's roadie in the band !!!!!!!!!!
🤙🏼one of theBest!!
Buddy Miles de chances The world together!...
The Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles 1.5 Hour Variety Show...
I think this was around the time Buddy was singing for those California Raisins commercials. Anyone remember those? :)
Back in his Fusion days. Love it. Much better than "Smooth" 😆 Carlos was playing his ass off. And his tone was better- back before he became allergic to treble. Sounds like he had been listening to a lot of Jeff Beck.
¡Viva Carlos Santana! ¡ DIOS bendiga a Carlos Santana! This is one of the biggest shows Carlos has ever watched! Anthological! Viva Carlos Santana! God bless Carlos Santana! Viva Carlos Santana! DEUS abençoes Carlos Santana!
I loved BM in the Electric Flag, LoVED him with the Band of Gypsys…..I always thought him a soulful singer and great drummer…looks like he is an incendiary guitar player too….didn’t know that….
SO COOL
