Santa Fe feat. A man who clearly doesn’t miss high school at all
The satire of this song is so amazing. So many broadways songs about how great Santa Fe is and having a song that is still that upbeat but listing several things about how the person hates living in Santa Fe....hilarious.
I have been introducing every drama class I run with “gather round my brothers and sister, my mrs and my misters, my guys and dolls” so thank you Clark for simultaneously ruining and enhancing both the lives of myself and my students.
“You wonder what you’re doing here, what the fuck’s become of me-..” *concerned people in the bg* “Oh I meant hypothetically guys”
I love the lyrics to this song especially- they’re so witty and sharp, contrasted against the ostensibly relaxed nature of the performance is really impactful.
of course there is a Santa Fe song. It's the broadway tradition :D
