The most important thing for a person is that if he wants to know the Lord, if he wishes to be in bliss, then he should go in search of a saint/mahatma. And when he finds a saint, he should attend his satsangs. In the satsangs he will come to understand the secret of human life.... why we have come to this world as human beings.... and what we can do as human beings to attain this eternal happiness. Until then, we cannot be happy in the true sense. So a person should first search for a perfect saint (Mahapurush), then attend his satsangs, and then receive naam from the guru....once one has found the guru, one should ask for naam (initiation) .... and then devote oneself to inner sound and light meditation, bhajan and simran.
