How Killer looks at nightmare when cross asked him if he can reset omg. I would have loved to see him answer yes, I feel almost nobody remembers that fact in reactions or even the regular, like, how the hell Killer isn't more overpowered having MORE DETERMINATION than the human, the "thing" that can beat everything, even the "God of Hyperdeath Asriel" with determination.

High determination doesn't mean you can reset. Pretty sure reset is an ability that is more unique than just able to be done by anyone with enough determination. Chara for instance didn't have the power of reset when they were alive despite having determination to persist after death. So why would Killer get that ability by merging with Chara's soul? That's another thing I think some people forget. Chara's ability to reset in the OG Undertale came from taking Frisk's soul, not from their own soul, isn't that right? They couldn't do true resets without first taking our soul from us in the game., So it means Chara didn't actually have the ability to reset. And the reason Flowey got the power probably has to do with his determination being different as well since it was also given to him from other souls via the injection Alphys used.

@@JAUBAnimated i mean it was never really official that Chara never possesed that ability maybe they lost it when they gave their soul to Asriel and thats why they couldn't reset who knows. Besides, that I guess most would think so seeing how Flowey says because your determination is greater then his that you stole his ability to reset so most would believe that if you had even more determination then the person who could reset then you would be able to gain the power to reset its literally the power to resist death their isn't any reason why you wouldn't be able to gain said power

@@illumiuchiha7670 We can reset regardless of giving our soul to Chara though. Chara seemed to require our determination to reset, which, remember, they even said that our determination is what fuelled them as well. Some people's determination seems to give the reset ability, while others don't get it despite having determination. Chara clearly could not reset, because if they could then they definitely should have been able to reset after they died with Asriel. They still were able to persist after death, which means they still had their determination, yet never bothered to reset back to before the plan failed. Why unless they couldn't do it? Also, Chara definitely seemed to need our soul for the true reset and can simply be explained by them having something of an omnipotent presence over the world. Them doing a true reset is the same way that they were somehow able to literally destory the universe. Chara has that unique ability because of their determination the same way some humans get the unique ability to do reset. However, it appears that anyone who gains access to a soul that has the determination reset ability, or absorbs the power of one, they get that ability as well for however long they keep that soul. Still doesn't seem like something any person with high determination is capable of. Flowey getting the ability is because at least one of the souls that had DT extracted from to inject in him probably had the reset ability as well. And Asriel literally had every human soul outside of Frisk's so of course he could reset. Flowey being unable to reset because of us is simply a matter of something similar to a signal being jammed. If you have a signal going, but something more power comes over it, your signal will be cut off by the new one. So our determination did cause Flowey to not be able to reset, but he doesn't imply that it is because we can reset as well. And also, it wouldn't really have to do with Chara anyways, since we are still talking about OUR power to reset, not Chara. Our determination gives us reset power, but Chara's gives them the power to basically obliterate things from existence. Chara just took Frisk's soul so they could also do the reset. It is also the PLAYER pulling the strings in Killer's au, so it is hard to know whether it is actually Chara's ability to reset in that story, or just the PLAYER doing it for them. Oh and the ability to persist after death doesn't have to do with resetting. The persisting after death has to do with human souls not breaking when their body is killed. But that isn't a reset of the timeline. It is refusing to die. When they do actually have their soul shatter though without refusing, they then have to reset to fix it or they just stay dead, based on the fact that GAME OVER in Undertale requires resetting to fix, but during the fight with Asriel it was is refusing to let our soul shatter at all, so no reset.

Ah man, I hate Aus where Killer is so abused by Nightmare just as much as I love the drama of them... Even if it makes canon sense it makes me so sad. Like, I love this vid and reactions, but waaah !! Poor Killer trying so hard to keep it together and remain optimistic... 😭💔 The only version of this type of thing that makes it a bit better is ones where Nightmare is actually doing that to Killer's soul to help him maintain control because he loses it when he starts feeling too much emotions. I saw one AU like that and stuck to that headcanon. That's the way I imagine it to comfort myself from the truth anyways lol.

Fun fact about the aus: dust or going by his canon name “murder” doesn’t like anyone in the room except for horror and he despises both killer and nightmare. Know chara and frisk is not responsible for anything in his au and it’s some anomaly taking their body and killing for fun. Horror: he doesn’t like eating humans at all and TRY to avoid it. Sadly for aliza when she was burned she made him starve abit and was almost about to eat her but luckily he didn’t. Killer! Killer au or AT (Alternate Timeline) is caused by the doings of the player. The player was using frisk body for a while and got bored and changed to chara body because it’s more powerful and more talkative body than frisk. (Basically chara and frisk in these aus are just innocent beings that hasn’t done anything and yet still get blamed on) Dreamtale: Nightmare first, Nightmare only helper is killer and it will stay that way forever until he found another emotionless being like him. Killer can’t express any emotions which is good for nightmare not making him feeling any positivity suddenly like horror or murder (murder already hate nightmare so no point bringing him) Nightmare cannot be killed by any means even if we destroyed EVERY single cells inside him, as long as negativity exists, he exists. Dream: dream already gave up bringing his brother a long time ago and focusing on helping negative aus like dusttale and horror tale. Unlike nightmare he can be still alive even if the place is completely negative because of him having a real body and soul but he can be killed during that time. Even though positivity is more fond than negativity he still weaker than nightmare for some obvious reasons (nightmare is already a HUGE poodle of negativity)

Weird no one noticed the broken strings but cool also funfact nm kills killer if he felt that killer a threat to him as a unique thing about killer is he can determination which is a positive feeling to go forward so in fact if killer wanted( more like had enough courage because nm forces killer to fear him and that’s why until killer got help from swap ink dream and color decided to betray nm and pay him back for what nm did to him as funny Enough killer helped nm a lot during his story examples nm used to fear core frisk but killer gave him a way to beat core frisk(more like forcing core out of nm way ) also killer secretly got a hide out place that doesn’t allow nm but only dream can enter it as that place was where killer showed dream his cats and asked him to take care of them and killer does some secret scientific experiments on his dead victims to their soul)
