Ink is at the mercy of the creators. Him being shown with a reset button is actually a pretty cool concept because many see him as all powerful controling the stories, but no... he is just a puppet more akin to Frisk, Chara or Kris then to a true Sans. He is the muse and often the tool of the creators. He fears being forgotten and being useless so he plays along with the creators games willingly becoming their puppet adding spice to their stories, so he can be of use. Ink isn't innocent of course his sense of morality is shot to pieces but he still does whatever he is told... an emotionless wind up doll. His lack of a soul also in most versions keeps him from dying... or at least staying dead. Actually in that room the only person with the dt to have access to a reset button is Killer. He in canon can use it to reset himself and his au but he doesn't cause that would mean his lv would reset too

Outside of Killer being a hypocrite, I wonder if a possibility of why Ink would be represented with the RESET is one of of those two : 1. As our muse and kind of assistant, he witnesses the stories we try to write but also see us changing it and overwriting it. Except, it is more like a RESET I guess ? Or more precisely, a LOAD, we go back to a previous point in time because we dont like where the story is going, so we erase the previously concidered storyline (the previous "run") to go back to before the turning point in it, to change it to a "better" direction. So, for Ink, it may not be different from a RESET which he would remember. 2. Ink had the RESET because, like Frisk or Kris, at the moment, his body was taken over by a Creator/Player, which also explain the blood. It may be the actual meaning behind his name being "?????". (the other reading of why his name is like this, is because Ink named himself, he was nameless, but on this logic, Horror, Killer and Dust should appear as "Sans" and Error's name would also likely be all glitchy, like the rest of the stats when you CHECK him).

Now this is more the creator toying with the sanses for drama, because Ink's backstory has yet to come out

I dont know why, and you probably wont read this, but the part at the end had my mind racing. Dust and Killer standing up for each other and saying "Not Again". Yet Ink knows basically everything about the AUs anyway. Imagine him mocking their attitude towards rests by bringing up the fact that only those who are in possession of determination can withstand the power of the RESET button, an ability he does not possess, yet two out of the three individuals in the room who DO possess the ability are pointing their fingers at him. Imagine Ink smirking and reminding them of their own transgressions. They were the ones to achieve Determination and they were the ones who took that power and abused it. RESETing over and over to gain more ExP and LOVE. They want to throw the blame on him yet they became the thing they hated from the start. Just food for thought and my brain liking the angst. This is only just something that i came up with, not an attack on anyone

I can see Blue and Dream being upset about the fact that Ink is provoking them, but Ink is stating the truth. (I don't remember if Dust can reset, pretty sure he can't but Killer can. And Cross have an even worse ability with the "Overwrite", granted, this is Chara's half of a soul that uses it, but Cross took that half of soul in hope to use the Overwrite himself, a power that is close to that of a god, even killing his own brother when he told him not to do it). And, my best guess as to why Ink would have the reset is either : 1. He was possessed by a Creator (like Frisk or Kris). Ink was said to be weak against mind control because he doesn't have a soul, by Comyet herself, so technically, if a Creator wanted to take control of Ink to interact with their world, I guess they could do it ? Now, if one with darker desire was to do it, well, this is like the Player situation. It is just a likely rarer case. Hell, Ink may not even have memories of what he does in this state, which may even serve as an excuse for the bad memory thing. (basically, since you talk about event from when he was possesse by another entity, he wouldn't remember. I think memory loss is part of the commong "symptoms" people put on possession in storytelling) 2. It would be more of a metaphor. Ink is covered in blood because he has "blood on his hand" indirectly. He helped making sure they live the horrible life they lead. So, all the blood on the hands of the Bad Sans, who are victims of their fate, is blood on Ink's hands, the one acting for the entities that created those fate. As for the RESET itself, it may be because on Ink's point of view, us changing our mind and overwriting the storyline we were going for, feel like one of the reset abilities, the Save/Load one ? (Like, usually, you don't erase entirely your story, you just go back to a previous point in time, erasing everything that had happened, all of the consequences, so only you, the writer would know... and Ink, by extension, as he would still have the previous iteration of the script, given that it may contain useful informations and insights on the world in question)

This is the reason I'm living. THE DRAMA IS AMAZING

Yeah, those two have those abilities. I want to give Ink the benefit of the doubt and think he is saying the truth when he says he doesn't have the reset, and that the video was maybe meant to be more metaphorical, comparing him more to Frisk and Kris, who are puppets of the PLAYER, like Ink is for the Creators. (and the bloody video would be because Ink, by helping the creators, have the blood of both the victims of the bads, and in a way, the blood of the Bad, who are victims of their own fates, on his hands)

It could be even more interesting, if the way intended there, is that it was a creator taking over Ink's body to "play". (As to why Ink would not mention it. He either doesn't know about it and the possession is the reason for his bad memory, or it may be a taboo and he will face punishment for saying it)

Even with Error, it may be interesting. (ignoring the fact that Gin's creator said it was impossible for the Error and Ink involved with Gin to end up in couple). It could be interesting, because all of Ink's relationship with Gin happened in the Omega Timeline, so a place that Error cannot reach/see in the first place, so it may be the moment Error get to find out Ink has an ex, not only that, but rather than breaking up, it is just one of them died, so there is the question of "Would he hae even looked my way had this guy still been alive ?". (It could also serve as a small way to show his tattoos for those that don't care much about the love drama with Errorink) Like, did Dream or Blue ever get to see the tattoos ? Even for Cross for that matter. He was friend wit Ink, did he ever see under the scarf the small black swirls that poke out. There is the fact we don't see them in this Ink design. Does he do something to hide them, maybe ? (I once saw a version of him that covered his bones with white paint to hide the tattoos on his body. Which, is not a bad move, given those are actually the binary code of the Doodlesphere ingraved on his bones, in canon, this time)

Part of me really just wants them to stab him and find out that he has no soul that way, just for the drama. I kinda want to see them be terrified at the idea that he has a reset button AND cannot die (To an extent) (Also to my knowledge he doesnt have a reset button but its a fun idea that they think he does/ that he does in this AU) Also I am very excited for when Ink learns HOW he lost his soul because I'm pretty sure he forgot when he ripped his soul in half.
