Just last chapter oda changed something much more important than powerscaling that only the fans of weaker characters who they want to be portrayed as stronger than the manga conveys support. Yohh I’m want to know why the dynamic has never changed ? Because it wasn’t meant to , lmfao you trying to use that as evidence for the future is cringe . The monster trio isn’t even a cannon term lol. It’s serviced from nami calling luffy , zoro and Sanji monsters in comparison to the rest of the crew because the gap was so large . Honestly Sanji being undervalued in the OP universe is a pretty good narrative tool, especially if Oda intends to pay off that "I'll be the biggest enemy of the world government in the future" that he tells Kuma in sabaody It even fits the theme of that scene of him asking for Robin's help, where everyone else in the island hears his screams and assume he is just a weak coward, not worthy of being one of the best in Luffy's crew Also, he has a very "undercover spy" vibe, so it's for the best that the rest of the world underestimates his strengths, after all, he's "just a cook"

that line towards Kuma has been like a prophecy I'm clinging to for over a decade...it's been on my mind all the time especially the last couple of years and I don't mind him being not being potrayed as flawlessly strong as Zoro if at the end he'll get the notoriety he proclaimed towards Kuma and stands as Zoro's equal...not equal like they're the same but complementary equal as that's the way they've been protrayed all along which is also a reason for why they're so hard to scale against another. They have almost nothing in common, be it in fighting style, goals, personality and so on. And about the Zoro v Sanji powerscaling I think even *if* Zoro is stronger than Sanji it's not stronger in a "Zoro's gonna defeat Sanji" sense but more like the Aokiji vs Akainu (or Dorry vs Broggy) sense where a serious fight would go on for a long ass time (weeks or months) and even then the highest gap i could see is Sanji dropping on the floor a few seconds before Zoro...and that's still a huge "if", in my headcanon they would *always* drop at the same time. And in Two Piece people will be talking about the epic duels that these two legends had over the years...the worlds strongest swordsman and the king of hell vs the most dangerous man alive and the king of all ladies

@@AgeofJP I've come to believe that line more and more with each new chapter released where he's shown being, ironically, "pathetic" to everyone that doesn't know him one thing I notice few people talk about regarding sanji is how, one of his most consistent character traits, is being underestimated by everyone outside the crew, because after all, hes only "the cook" of the strawhats even now with him having only the 4th highest bounty with jimbe joining the crew supports this. In Onigashima, he was ridiculed by the entire alliance after crying for robin's help He's the literal stealth agent of the strawhats, he acts without being noticed and thats what most of his "mr prince moments" are all about this is definetly going to culminate in a moment where tensions are high in the final war, the WG already thinking they are winning, and sanji showing up right on time

That's also what I think, Luffy is a Yonko so it's only natural that his commanders are more relative to each other than they are to him. The Strawhats are tiered into 3 trios that each represent a tier of relative power (Usopp, Nami, Chopper / Brook, Franky, Robin / Jinbei, Sanji, Zoro) and Luffy on his own tier above

Oda lets you know the strength level of a character by the opponent they fight, sanji was made to fight a 2nd commander and jinbei faced who's who, While Jinbei was completely overwhelming to who's who, post awakened sanji was the same to queen. Jinbei is strong, but sanji is much much stronger

I don't like that Who's Who was Jinbe's opponent in Wano cause it makes people think that he's weak because he fought a weak opponent, even though he wiped the floor with Who's Who. While I do agree that Sanji is number 3 in the crew, Jinbe is definitely number 4 but some people put him even below that. Honestly Jinbe should have fought Jack instead to really show his actual strength.

But also, probably not work as well as he made it out to seem. Regardless of his strength, the momentum wouldn't be nearly as high as he makes it seem. As soon as he sky walks into the ocean, the water would exert as much pressure on sanji as he exerts on it, and it's an extra layer of friction, so it would slow his momentum for sure. Just cut out the sky walk, it wouldn't be doing him any favors

@jcblazer0470 being super human doesn't make you immune to physics. That's like saying sanji could just dive face first into concrete without slowing down. It's not that he can't break through it, it would just slow him down. Rapidly decending towards a body of water at speeds like that would give the same resistance as concrete would. So again, just cut out the sky walk part. It's just redundant. Let sanji be great in water and beat Jenbei at what he's best at.

I remember reading a comment of someone saying Usopp with Impact Dial will beat Sanji because he can just absorb Sanji's kick with dials (that guy was serious and not being sarcastic or anything). What I'm tryna say is, no matter what Sanji does, there always be people downplaying him.

To be entirely fair. If Usopp successfully blocked Sanji with an impact dial AND managed to land a hit with that impact dial as well, it's fully possible that might let him win. The problem is, Sanji's observation on Whole Cake was better than Katakuri's, and he's way too fast for Usopp to handle in the first place. Though, that's under the assumption that Sanji can kick hard enough to beat himself in one attack. Given the ludicrous defenses we've seen from him... well, somehow I doubt it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I 100 percent agree with you but jinbe pushing big mom is really impressive imo. Bm was able to tank like all the attacks she took. She is a yonko and even being able to push the beast she is is a pretty solid feat.

My personal thought is this. The monster trio is now Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe. After Luffy's awakening, he is in a class of his own all together. Every Yonko we have seen has always had 3 main commanders. Beckman, Yasopp and Lucky roo for Shanks. Katakuri, Smoothie, and CRacker for Big Mom. King, Queen, and Jack for Kaido. Marco, Jozu, and Vista for WB. Blackbeard is a little hard to say. we have not really seen 3 main guys backing him, but his first 3 ships are Burgess, Shiryu, and Van Auger. Luffy's would be Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe. (also side note as I find this a little interesting, but what if like jack, queen, and king and their names being the All-Stars, what if Luffy's top 3 have a similar name. The Sons of the Sun. It sounds stupid but it makes sense if you think about it. Zoro's mother's name was Tera, which means Earth, making him the "Son of the Earth" Also fitting since he is now the "The King of Hell". Sanji's mother's name was Sora, which also means Sky, Making him the "Son of the Sky" He is also said to be the Wings of the Pirate KIng,{At least in the Viz official translations. Every interpertation says something different} which would make sense. Jinbe has the Epithet of "Son of the Sea" Being a fish-man and all that too.)

Jinbei is a good case of a character that has some considerable experience from the start but he does not face the same amount of pressure as the main cast has over the course of the series and thus had fewer growth opportunities. Getting the occasional scuffle or one good tap on Big Mom is not really doing enough for someone who is already at his level to keep growing and scale with the rest of the crew, he would need more encounters with people capable of threatening him. I would argue that his durability negation up to this point made fights that should have been a challenge relatively easy, limiting his growth even more. The man needs to work on his fundamentals to hang with our boys. TLDR strong start, relatively low survival pressure.

He focused almost exclusively on his cybernetic enhancements while jinbei spent the entire fight with who's who using haki. Sanji has more disadvantages in a fight than normal characters. He is always fighting with a handicap. He can't use his hands or harm women. We have not seen him train like Zoro or use swords except in kitchen. This dude is actually a prodigy if you think about it.

I mean if Queen can knock her out, I don’t see why Jinbe should be downplayed. You also seem to forget that Jinbe stayed back to slow Big Mom and her pirates down and he had 0 other big hitters. So at best you can say sanji wins on land.

The punch obvious did damage to her and literally sent her flying. It wasn’t enough damage to permanently put her down, but saying it did 0 damage is being completely biased.

I know right. Since that chapters relase sanji vs. jinbe went from a low diff to a neg diff XD. Even if jinbe hit him with fishman karate it won't do any damage at all. Sanji is looking to be the most durable straw hat member by far, in terms of toughness, not endurance cuz luffy has him beat there. Also he's the fastest on the crew.

You've completely forgot about the SBS where Oda says Sanji MATCHED big mom's punch on force to negate it (instead of hitting her he says he matched her speed and force to equate and stop it, similar to blocking)

Jimbei is a gray addition to the crew, he’s strong as hell but Sanji is much stronger. I’d say him and Zoro are about equal in terms of strength. Jimbei might have a higher Bounty than Sanji but that’s because he is a well established pirate who’s been involved in piracy for longer, he has more prestige.

I think that generally Sanji is stronger because unlike Jimbei he has gotten powerups over the years. However Jimbei will still put up a decent fight since he can use water to put out ifrit jambe, Sanji's main source of offense. Jimbei also still has one feat that Sanji has yet to meet. That being when Jimbei blocked Akainu's magma imbued attack at marineford

His regular jambe would get put out with his water but I don’t know if sanjis blue flame would get put out seeing as it’s a blue flame so it’s probably hot enough to just evaporate the water instantly

Sanji lacks feats to say he’d be able to tank more than 1 conq coated attack. And considering Yamato was clashing with kaidos thunder bagua (which was faster than luffys future sight could help him dodge) I think yamato would win pretty easily. Yamato is underrated af they’re def top tier. Sanji is still commander lvl.

Another example in Wano is yasuie, who was said to have not eaten a smile in the databook, but was later shown eating one. As well, they treat Yamato as a man in every single way they can, including him joining them in the mens bath

Really the only way I feel it's debatable is dependent on if the regeneration/durability from Sanji's awakening is consistent, or if it was for some reason a 1 off situation. If it WAS a 1 off then does Jinbei get any big enough hits in before getting blitzed out. Jinbei does have some potentially insane damage output and techniques that I feel can potentially make up for the overall stat diff, but how big is that diff really.

more OP scaling🔥 if you’re looking for suggestions for the next one I’d say Zoro vs Law or Kid

Again I agree with the overall premise but jesus christ the misunderstanding of some of these feats. He keeps saying Sanji sent Queen to Udon and I thought it was a troll but now im not so sure. Sanji kicked Queen off the island and Zoro sliced King off of the island. They both ended up in Udon, using basic rationality especially since they all ended up in Udon along with the other beast pirates, its clear they all got sent to Udon to be held for their crimes. It was not the case that Sanji sent him across Wano but rather off of Onigashima. The idea that Sanji even now could violate Big Mom when Zoro's arguably strongest attack scarred Kaido WITH CONQUERORS is incredibly delusional. Sanji definitely gets more hate than he deserves but the gawk gawk on his new upgrades is CRAZY. Jimbei loses cuz Jimbei is not on Zoro and Sanji's level but its not an easy fight and it sure as hell is not like Sanji has proven he is rooftop level yet like the video implies.

OMG Bro really said he was able to out maneuver future sight and hurt a tobi roppo from defending with armament. He is SMOKING. Sanji is clearly talking about the faintest of pain that Maria could feel from punching something hard not that his armament haki is so clearly strong that others would hurt themselves before they could hurt him (ESPECIALLY NOT JINBEI) and dodging Katakuri's jelly bean is not out maneuvering future sight per se. That goes as far as to say that Sanji is faster than luffy or Kaido would be able to see using future sight which is just not true. Sanji is likely very fast but just cuz some brachiosaurus gets violated by Sanji doesnt put him at the upper echelon of fighters. It barely cemented him as a top 3 Straw Hat. Sanji is much more likely scaled at a level closer to killer and Jinbei himself.

Im attacking the weaker points because theres implication that sanji is like top 8 in the world when looking at the vid and i saw in the comments you were gonna go as far as comparing zoro to sanji later. Problem Is we are Talking about Current manga. Luffy Rn would Been able to do the Same As jimbe back at WG with ease. Furthermore Sanji is Just So much Faster in BASE that he Blitz and Just his Regular Kicks Can diss out more DMG than anything Who’s Who’s Can pull out,And it’s even a worst Stomp When he get on regular,let alone Infrit Jambe. If there’s going to be a new monster trio Jimbe Would Actually be the New Sanji,Sanji the New Zoro and Zoro the New Luffy.

Jimbe’s ability to weaponoze water seems like an underused hax given that most major enemies are devil fruit users

I'm pretty sure Jimbei has more attacks underwater than we have seen. We are probably about to get to see them soon with the upcoming chapters.
