The moment sanji tears drop everyone just quiet and feel it

I love how symbolic that cigarette scene is. From the beginning of Whole Cake to this specific moment, Sanji has been trying to find hope out of this situation, a "light" at the end of the tunnel. Maybe he couldn't join Luffy again, maybe he could never go free again, maybe he would just be executed by the end of the wedding again--heck, he probably didn't have that much confidence that Zeff would be safe at the end of all this. The one faint glimmer of hope was the thought that he finally got the girl--Pudding. Someone who values him & cares about him enough to want him be her husband. And that reveal, just like that drop of water, smothered out that one light Sanji could find.

The chap in the top right completely understands the message behind his lighter not lighting and I appreciate him for it it shows the straw hats are his light
