There is money on the line. Wrenchd has done his homework on sandstorm and if his "boring" playstyle seems to be able to put down the world champion, I don't see why he wouldn't just go for it (?) Why would he go "nahh making it more fun and entertaining for the viewers is more important" and to those complaining katars are broken. Fine let's say they are. Sandstorm had been switching to lin fei but wrenchd still rose superior. If katars were broken, then the match would be a matter of ( who abuses the weapon better? ) and that's wrenchd. Yes katars are broken and overwhelming right now but this is a tournament match against the world champion. You'd have to take every advantage and opportunity you can get to win besides cheating. Abuse and manipulate the game's current flaws to your advantage. Not to mention wrenchd's blasters were putting out so much work as well yet everyone kept blaming katars. The match wasn't all katars. Even the commentators took note of it. Lucien was an all-around perfect pick for wrenchd so why would he switch off of it? Again, this is a tournament with money at stake lmao. Sandstorm is the world champion. A very scary opponent especially in tournaments. Wrenchd saw an opening and an opportunity to put him down and so he took it. All of this is why I don't think he deserves to be bashed by the public. Do you?

@@alotofhate Honestly you could easily say the same thing about Sandstorm, but with scythe, katars, cannon, etc.

If you can find out if your opponent is left or right handed, you can essentially put a likeliness percentage to all their dodges. This is based on the premise that we prioritize / prefer to use dodges from our dominant side. Plus smaller maps allows less movement options and makes it even easier to know where they will be or want to go.

There is no excuses for Sandstorm to lose this upcoming world championship. I'm betting we will see Boomie and Cosolix up there too with this new update. Wrenchd will fall again, he really thrived off of the katars buff. There is no denying the coincidence of him suddenly winning after katars changes.

BMG buffed the living shit out of katars and nerfed the living shit out of scythe and gauntlets. They also buffed sword and blasters. Sandstorm doesnt take the game that seriously, and everyone has been adjusting to the meta. On top of that, Wrenchd is as good on katars as Sandstorm is on scythe. Its not Sandstorm being bad now, its a drift on the META and BMG nerfing the weapons tournament champions win with.

Wait what just happened... I know Wrenchd played better than usual but Sandstorm? He played kinda strange, didn’t do any strings or anything, made like 3 hits with 2 or 3 dmg lin fei I don’t remember, then he didn’t continue, ofc he’s not gonna win a noob like me can see that. Also he gave up a free win playing mordex, clearly the scythe didn’t work against wrenchd’s Lucian (we saw that when he played Faith) so why pick another scythe?.. Plus Wrenchd got so many stocks from edge guarding and that’s not only from this game, watched a game between Boomie and Wrenchd and he got so many stocks from just edge guarding, Sandstorm gave Wrenchd all the time he needed to get back, he was standing on the platform waiting, he gotta play far more aggressive if he wanna win, he did play aggressive once or twice with katars but since he isn’t a usual Katar player he’s not used to the off stage play with them
