1986 from Greece here, love the 80s, my dad had so many cassettes with which i grew up listening to back then, 80s music plus electronic music (Jean Michelle Jarre, Tangerine Dream which i am huge fan)

"Where is it now?" Well.... someone decided that computer programs will make the music. ANY idiot with a computer program can write some catchy crap and put it on social media and bypass the agent/record management business and then millions f people here it and after 10-15 years, Rock & Roll is dead. Until the next Eddie Van Halen or Ramones or any band from the 70's, 80's and early 90's actually plays their own instruments, gets signed so they can promote the group instead of us spending days down a rabbit hole on KZread to accidentally find some interesting self promoting singer or group - Soul, history and something to tell died with Rap.

@@deborah5932 You're right and wrong. Apparently the male singer was Hubert Kimmler (Hubert Kah) and he was the one who composed and wrote most of her hits. Cretu was the producer as well as one of the composers of Maria Magdalena but Kimmler was the main composer and the one who chose the name Maria Magdalena. Kimmler was the male singer and Sandra gave him credit for being the main guy behind her hits. Apparently she married Cretu at some point and he was the founder of the band Enigma. Avevo 15 anni, andai subito a comprare il 45 giri con la vespa pk 50 che mi stavo pagando a rate con il lavoro.... Era proprio il periodo del obbligo del casco.... Currently for her being German, she has a really good pronunciation of the two Spanish names (María and Magdalena), because the name María has an accent in the i, that combined with the a, become in the diphthong ía which has to be pronounced correctly with emphasis in the proper Spanish language (Castilian and Latin American Spanish). It sounds cute for somebody who is not accustomed to hear proper Spanish pronunciation.

I DIDINT I Was Born In 2000 cmon.

I was 13 years old when this song came in autumn 1985. I remember they played it during school athletics. In Swedish Radio by this time there was a show with the latest music called Tracks, and this song was one of the most played that year. This and A-ha’s Take on me.
