You’re using the term “image circle” wrong. The image circle has to do with the diameter of the projected image at the sensor or film when the lens is correctly mounted and focused at infinity - NOT the physical diameter of the rear element or the diameter of the mount.

Interesting comments about the case. I have the 1.33x anamorphic on my iPhone 12 Pro and the case that came with the lens is so hard to take off my phone I'm tempted to use a pry bar! It is just the free case they include with the lens, though, and they have nice looking leather ones for sale that, I'm told, are easier to get on and off your phone. I also have the Film Rig and agree -- it's great. Overall, the lens and rig are nice additions to my mobile filming kit. Thanks for the thoughtful review!

I really don't know anything about it and I am looking for a good zoom lens for the iPhone 15 pro max. What I want is that I want to be able to zoom a lot further with the video camera, if possible, and with decent quality of course. Where do I use this; at the football, at a concert and at Tomorrowland. The problem is that I always stand very far away to film, I don't like standing in the crowd. That's why I need a good lens for video camera zooming (with a suitable case) for this for a maximum of 200 euros. Which is good both during the day and in the dark. My English is bad, I use a translation program.

And what about this jello effect? Why it appears when you're using this lens?

The 1.5 Anamorphic increases the effects of rolling shutter and the IBIS of iPhone when turned on can increase the visual lag you're seeing. Wish I had used the BM app, would have been much less noticable!

When using anamorphic lenses it is CRUCIAL to disable image stabilization. This can be done for example by recording using the Black magic app and settinf stabilization to off
