Sandberg Bass Bridge Tutorial

Музыка

After a lot of discussion at forums, here is a video showing how to handle Sandberg Bass bridge.
Backing track by Obrad Lacarac - This is my old song, recorded a decades ago (the only one where I used a double bass).

This is a great KZread video, I just acquired my first Sandberg, and while I love the tone and playability, the intonation needs to be set. I was baffled looking at the bridge and had to find out how to adjust the saddle back and forth. This explained it clearly and concisely. Just what I needed.

I had no clue about the string spacing. This video showed before I went to the Sandberg website. Simple, thorough and pleasant background music.

My 2008 Sandberg saddles have the fixation screws under the string as it passes over the saddle.

Thank you. I just bought Sandberg I love their comfort and sound. What's ur opinion about their bridges? I like simple things these are a little bit complicated :D And I have four screws bridge for every saddle. Might I just lower the action with these three screws and no need to loosen up also the intonation or fixation screw? I dunno. This bridge is too much :d

What kind of metal is it made of? the New Tone Up Bridge is made of Stainless Steel. And transfers the string tone to the pick ups much better than Steel or different metals.

It's an alloy, I don't know which one. It seems quite soft and light.

  • @ObraBass

Why do Germans love to over engineer things. I have a German made Warwick Bass and that bridge is also too much. But this one is worse

IMHO it is a bit on a complicated side but the possibilities are much higher than with classic Fender bridge. You can make a fine setup moving the saddle in all directions.

@@ObraBass yeah you get more options, but it's just a flawed way of doing it. Intonation for example. A screw driver to move the saddles back and forth is the most tried and tested way. It works. 3 screws for the saddle height? Why???

@@kereamohau I agree. Personally, I like Fender vintage bridge the most, but Sandberg is probably most beautiful and most versatile.
