Spring 2024 camp out at Sand Pass NV, we camped 3 nights and had about 3-5 trains a day. A bit windy Friday and Saturday, but I plugged in my external microphones to help silence the wind noise. I did however have an issue with one mic, so you may notice some audio overlay. Mormon Crickets have arrived to Sand Pass! Not nearly as bad as the invasion at Palisade Canyon 2 years ago, but we saw them here mainly on the rails, ties and ballast. Notice one getting squashed on my underside view of Saturdays Green River manifest at MP 396 right above my watermark.....brutal!

Some great shots Mike! A beautiful but remote location, but it would be very cool to camp there! Slim pickings though...3-5 a day sounds like railfaning down here in OZ..LOL. Thanks for the video. Cheers Gregg.

Yeah, plenty of time to nap and read. A much needed break and vacation from work for me that’s fer sure!

Who knows, I was taking a stab on the ID. Most of the Z's are run over Donner both directions.
