    I can’t as I have used the solar panel on my solar build. I was just testing the sand battery theory will the arrays mounts were being built. The panels is a 41VDC and 10.5amp.

    When you measure current, you need to put the multimeter in series with the load. Putting it in parallel, as you did, creates a dead short across the load and the power supply will deliver as much current as it is capable of supplying, limited only by the internal resistance of the multimeter - hopefully protected (and protecting you) by a fuse. You're lucky it was just a solar cell which can only supply about 10 amps. If you'd tried that on something connected to the mains supply, your multimeter - and possibly you too - would have disappeared in a flash of smoke.

    Can you test the amps going into the element you would have to put your voltmeter in line with it
