May is a time of transition and transformation. The air gets warmer, and the days get longer with the changing of the season. Trees blossom and flowers bloom. As the school year comes to a close, many young people celebrate graduation. It is the end of an era and the start of a new chapter of life. The young women of Lumina have been through much together. They have weathered through the storms of COVID, loss, isolation, and faced unimaginable turmoil in their lives. But through it all, they relied on one another, forging life-long bonds of friendships and memories. These amazing young women have changed and grown as a unique and exceptional group. As our Rise Up season comes to a close, some of them will graduate and move on, but they will never forget the time they’ve had together and the beautiful music they created and shared with the world.
