Yes everything is wonderful until you accidentally run into the local narco who live life in the fullest as in out of control. You always get these sweet talkers who try and hide this under the carpet but the threat is ever present and you're literally taking a chance with your life. Don't buy into the lies!

This place looks gross! It looks like San Bernardino, few trees, no greenery, no water, lakes, ocean, why would anyone want to live there?

no. 1 - the video is of poor quality...washed out, and low contrast. no. 2 - San Miguel is in the Highlands of Central Mexico, so it's US counterparts would be Santa Fe, Taos, and Sedona - not a beach in sight there, either! San Bernardino is Ugly as Shit! SMA is NOT! It's quite lovely. The weather is almost always Ideal! For a rather small place, there is a lot to see and do there - if you like good dining, art galleries, strolling the plazas, and the Gorgeous Parque Juarez!.There is also some Night-life (some decent jazz, and folkloric), a great little Library, and lots of "New Age" stuff, like Yoga, and Crystal Gazing!...again, like Santa Fe. One hour away by bus, or car is the Colonial City of Guanajuato - which is SPECTACULAR! - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and if you really get bored - Mexico City is 4-1/2 hours away by bus...and CDMX is one of the World's Greatest Cities! I'm originally from California, have lived in NYC for 2 decades, and lived in 3 European Countries. I find San Miguel de Allende to be very charming, almost "Magical", and sometimes- annoying. ..it's mostly the feckless Gringos who flock to it!
