Please stay in your own lane. Go back to California or go back to Florida. San Marcos does not need you here. And I mean that in the nicest way. The San Marcos River is a golden gym passed down to this Earth from generation to generation and if you and all of your California Florida people move here it will be lost forever. I'm 30 years old and I've enjoyed San Marcos almost my whole life and work hard to enjoy my life here the more people that move here the harder and harder it gets to enjoy. Of course Texas rules and is the best state in the world but the only reason Texas is so great is because you're not in it.

@@claytontaylor9997 yeah my dad went to Texas state when it was southwest Texas and my sister graduated with her masters recently from there and while she was there you could see how the population growth was damaging the rivers, parks and other areas. I will be attending Texas state In a few months and it is visibly worrying. This place has always been a beautiful hidden gem and like you said I would hate for it to get polluted and ruined by all these Californians that couldn’t keep there own towns clean.

San Marcos is a college town. Has grown alot in the last few years. We live Houston, but love to visit San Marcos.

We love our little town and I can safely say we are full! We can not support the growth that is happening now. Please stop calling people to move here.

Based on my calculations Texas prop taxes are higher but actually cheaper than let’s say Atlanta area for example. Cheaper houses are also bigger in Texas. Florida is the best deal though as it has lowest prop taxes with no income tax. TX isn’t bad if you don’t get a really expensive home
