The Sounders are protecting Morris. His father is a physician on the team and he's home grown from MI HS and Nat College Champ, and is on the USMNT. They are big on PR for him. Maybe they think that most fans haven't seen the same thing for a long time. Unless the Sounders do two things: # 1 play the ball forward into space perfect for Jordon to run on to, and # 2 put the ball right on his head with perfect crosses (which Leo and Alex don't know how to do, but clearly tonight Cody shows he can) then Jordon is just taking up space. Nice long ball to him from Danny Levya tonight but no goal. Jordon can't create his own space, can't take players on from a still start with the ball at his feet, just taps it back when passed to. It's dull, I'm sorry to say. When he first joined the team and make those runs down the left and cut in and shot, that was magic. But he can't do that anymore, probably because of his bad knees and he's not as fast as he was. Something has to happen at some point before long. Zero chemistry with Raul. Morris would be better off on a team that will support his strengths (as few as they are). The sounders midfield doesn't have the creativity and deft and field vision to give him the balls he needs. I want to see Raul mix it up with De La Vega once he's back health. Need to South Am. style ball movement. Sorry but all those shots by Raul from way out just looks desperate.

Agree that Morris is not a great finisher, but our service into the box and passing close to goal is not even to MLS standards. We're not a good team at all and that starts with the coach

@godparticle4883, I agree. I could say a ton more about the whole team but don't want to make my post too long, especially the midfield. Schmetzer style players = Schmetzer style soccer . Read my post again and you'll see that I talked about the lack of support.. It's the same reason I felt so bad for Will Bruin.....put it on his head most quite often he'd score. Don't and he won't.

Even with the help of the Referee, Sounders couldn't beat Quakes lol.

Really. I kept rewinding and couldn't figure how you allow a goal that never crossed the line.

That lame attempt at defense on the last goal pretty much tells the story of the Seattle Sounders this season.. We're not very good

The ref screwed the pooch on this game! Lots of mistakes but he's been consistently bad this season.

Sounders clearly lost this game because of bad performance up front and on defense. Very slow start to Seattle and must needed 3 points for the Earthquakes! Good game of football with some bad ref decisions!!

Frei is a liability. No one will admit it. Sounders will continue to give up more goals than they can score while he starts. Season over before it starts.
