If you’re a freshman, the best way to ensure you get a spot in the dorms is to fill out the housing packet and send in your payment as soon as the university stars accepting applications. From there you will either get accepted or be put on a waitlist. The waitlist is always a gamble, but if you’re from the Bay Area or are close enough to commute in for a while, there’s a good chance you can get into the dorms a month or two after school has started.

Interesting note: you'll spend more on housing than tuition if you come here. A room was like $1300 back in 2013.Im sure it's gone up since then.
Commuting on the M Oceanview streetcar/LRV line is the best method to get to SFSU. The L Taraval, K Ingleside, and J Church lines connect with the M line at various points, so living along these streetcar lines is ideal.

@@Gobeyondthebrochure I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I am a long-time native. But I attended City College. My sister went to SFSU for her Masters. I now do contract work for UCSF.
Is it good for Bachelor in computer sci for international students wrt job opportunities??

Aamir Khan You should go on to the CSU website and do some research. Click on a school and see what majors they have. Most of them will have all the stuff u listed above and more :)

The “Greek” life at SFSU are ethnic groups like the Asian student group, black frats or sororities, Latino, etc. There really is no traditional college bonding experience as it’s a commuter school for many
I would have gone to San Jose State instead.

@@jamessoria9706 idk what to choose east bay or sfsu. Eastbay has a way better campus and at least better parking even though its uphill. But sf state gives you more rep and is more respected and has more of a party life as well. Im trying to see which will be better for me to stay and work on my buisness marketing/management degree before i transfer to an hbcu once all this coronavjrus stuff is over
