How come there was so much graffiti in this area? In my city, they make the business owners paint over it. I really liked this video. This had a lot of amazing art.

a city can't force a private property to paint anything they might send you a letter encouraging you too and most businesses comply but nothing states in the law saying you have to have a building painted in a certain way

A lot of the local businesses around mission Street are closed down, and a bunch of these buildings are currently empty. Why would an owner waste money painting over a building where they don't collect any rent?

It's shame that graffiti in the US has never evolved....everything looks stuck in the 80s & 90s. Meanwhile in Europe, graffiti is much more advanced and taken to another level.

How was it not evolved. Graffiti is still based on the letter and writers from around the country are coming up with new styles and crisp pieces.
