I was just out on my board out in Sausalito yesterday and the wind was just way too much. I don't know how these guys did this, they are nuts...

I did a downwinder with Barbary Ghost. Great fun. Not as hairy as these waves (thankfully.) But the Ghost and crew will find you some great riding.

I agree. One obvious indicator is the flags on the boat! 40 MPH wind against that ebb would have created MUCH bigger swells, probably with breaking crests! I'm guessing, undoable on an sup. Easily verified if they had provided the date and time. For example, on the day they posted the video, the max wind speed in San Francisco was a whopping 8 miles per hour!

@@carlwilliams6977 I disagree. I have a ton of time sail boat racing on the Bay. Those conditions are minimally 25kts with an ebb tide. Gusts probably in the range stated in the title. Those guys are awesome and these conditions are extreme. Note how few boats in the surrounding waters. It is smokin!

@@sailcalifornia7822 o 0:25 Look at the flag buddy! Even going down wind and factoring for a apparent wind speed, that's just a medium summer's day on the bay,! Flags don't lie! Scary music though! 😲 By the way, I windsurf at Chrissy, sea kayak and own a 30-foot sailboat. I've single-handed twice in 40 knot winds. In 40 knots, you put the damn camera down!
