it sure is .ive heard the state described as the coastal elites and everybody else..its almost the 4th largest economy behind japan china and the usa (overall). incredibly productive. don't even get me started on southern california and the wealth down there. i love it..i just wouldn't live there if i couldn't be near the coast

It's actually not. There are too many homeless everywhere, the weather as not as great as people think and the air pollution is horrible.

@@elena79rus was waiting for people like you. When people say the weather is amazing it means it’s better than most places and not that it’s always a 70-80. I have lived in a tropical place and I’ve lived in the Midwest and California easily has the best weather. It’s predictable, has amazing sunshine in SF and the sunsets are gorgeous every single day. And the outdoor options are unrivaled by no place on earth. And I’m not talking about Central Valley. That place is so hot.
The Golden Gate Bridge is a masterpiece of Art Deco! How could they build such a structure in the 1930s? Just incredible!
Now you see why San Francisco so expensive cause it’s so beautiful!!!!!! Be moving back this year ❤❤❤❤

thats the deal..read a great book on economics a couple years ago and what stuck with me is pricing and with houses, its a pretty open and free situation..its high price due to high high demand

Brings back lots of nice memories of my trips to San Francisco to see my uncle who lived in San Jose ( Los Altos) a beautiful city and and beautiful state to see from Lake Tahoe, San Diego.

Once you get out of the chronic red lights, it turns into a great drive. I honestly don't know how American drivers in big cities deal with the constant red lights.

I'm with you! In the Las Vegas, NV area where I live now, most of the red lights take a very long time to change to green--so long in fact that when they eventually do change to green, the driver at the light is half asleep and takes a few more moments to figure out the light finally changed before moving. On the other hand, there are a few lights where the green just lasts a few seconds and the traffic signal system hasn't kept pace with additional traffic so that by the time you reach the light it's already red. I don't recall having this problem when I lived in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas in California.

Actually, even with the red lights, that is about an uncrowded downtown San Francisco as you are going to get.

Where do you live that traffic lights aren't a thing?
San Francisco, my hometown. Also the city for innovation because of all the tech companies like ZOOX, Cruise, and Waymo that have auto cars that roam the streets.

Thx sooo much 4 uploading this !!! So wonderful 2 "b" in that beautiful city again ! At least one o' the top 10 cities around the globe... AT LEEEAST !!!.....psssht...No.1😉. I'm from Germany and i've been there in summer '82 when i was 12. Drivin' over the most popular and most beautiful bridge in the world ! That's my opinion, but i guess i'm not alone with that 😆. Al2gether with that whole scenery ! (But the Oakland isn't bad as well.😉) THAT. WAS. SO. AWESOME....! When we went (only once 😥) across the Golden Gate by car (we did 🏠Xchange in Mountain View btw), the upper half was wrapped in clouds...wtf ! Sometimes it could even be the lower part only as well, but u know that, of course. Now i can enjoy it again with nice sunny weather. If i reflect it now, we should have better been walking over it, i regret that afterwards. Just 4get about that breeze😆. But i still have photos from both sides, by standing on the Sausalito side. One from the Vista Point parking lot, whilst sittin' on that lil' wall & the other with the city in the background. Stunning view, even with that fog ! But after all i'm very pleased......of course. Always wanted to go there again...mayB one day, hopefully🤗. Or even in combining it with L.A. this time....who knows. In Sacramento i've been 2 then btw...but sorry, no Gold anymore🤣. 🎶 We built this city...! 🎵 ...the city by the Bay.... ...the city that rocks.... ...the city that NeVeR sleeps... 😆🤣😉 I always 🙂 when i hear that.

That was quite a view i must say. At the 1:00:20 mark there are some white buildings with red roofs on the left side, anyone happen to know what those are and what they're used for?

It was Fort Cronkhite. Soldiers used to be bunked there during WWII. Now a few different companies use the buildings. NatureBridge, they hold day camps, run nature programs or you can rent the buildings for conferences or presentations through them. A marine mammal center and nursery are the other two places that are there.
Beautiful. Did you know that Lisbon (Portugal) has a bridge similar to The Golden Gate and it is called The 25th April Bridge

Hi J Utah, perfect trip with all the variation of driving to present the perfect views, I love your scenic drives since a long time. Due to my job I travelled round the world, only westcoast I´m missing in my destinations, I have to fix it by private trips together with my wife, retirement is not far away... By the way, I´m working also on a new YT-channel, also with scenic drives by bike or car, basically in my home region, I´m living in the southern part of Germany, on the western part of Lake Constance, between Black Forest and the Alps, near the borderline to Switzerland and Austria, really nice area... The building on the right hand side of the shot at 2:40, the one with the steps out front, that is the actual film location for the building in The Towering Inferno. Fred Astaire gets out of the taxi and doesn't tip the driver, then walks up these steps and looks up at the 'Glass Tower' building which he was soon to realise had been badly wired with dodgy cable by Richard Chamberlain who was an electrician at the time.
