Exactly bro! I can handle an L, obviously wouldn't like it but can handle it, but that right there was beyond ridiculous!! Both 3rd & 4th string QB's hurt!! That completely took away any chances of victory or at least a good game.

When you no longer can even call a pass play at the end of the game because you no longer have a QB to throw, you know its over. It was over the first drive when the Niners lost Purdy. From that point on everything just unraveled for the Niners.

No it was over after Josh Johnson fumbled and then was concussed and out. Niners were actually still in the game for a while without Purdy. Defense is so good.

Re watching this game and I see a blowout... eagles scored 14 points in their first 6 drives and that's with the Niners having 2 turnovers with good field position... take away that catch from smith that's 7 points. Brock purdy is gonna light that a$# up

Last year, I did not think Hurts was going to be the Eagles Franchise QB . He was very inconsistent & didn't seem to have great passing accuracy. But all the reports coming out about him on the Eagles said he's one of the Eagles players doing the most to improve himself, working on his accuracy, watching films, studying the playbooks I was completely wrong about Hurts, and I have never seen a QB improve so much in a single year, in just about every facet of his game.

He already had it. Of the offensive line was packed the year before, you can not blame everything on the quarterback. He receivers was bad also. He only had D. Smith and the TE. Watkins and Reagor was dropping passes.

The more I watch this game, the more I appreciate Jalen Hurts. He was literally taking what the defense gave him and not forcing anything for "numbers", which is where players like Dak Prescott get in trouble. Take what the defense gives you and don't make any mistakes. Who cares about the passing statistics if you're getting the wins. That man is 19 and 2 in his last 21 starts.

I love the way Hurts didn't force anything and just took what the defense gave him. He didn't make many big plays, but managed the game just enough and let the defense and running game lead the way. That's the sign of a SOLID QB.

I’m a Philly native currently living in LA and I flew back to Philly to attend this game. 49er fans were talking so much crap on the flight to Philly telling me they were going to take over the Linc and their defense would stop us. I laughed and told them it would be a quiet plane ride back to LA after we beat that ass 🤣😂. Indeed it was crickets coming back 🤫. Let’s go EAGLES!!!! PS. It was my son’s first football game . It sucked that it wasnt a fair matchup by the 2nd half, I knew that Defense was only going to be able to hold on for so long. That has to be frustrating to be the #1 Defense and your offense falls apart unable to do much of anything. Hopefully now this will be a rivalry for the next upcoming years.

The offense looked terrible the second half because the eagles knew he couldn’t throw a pass and played their defense accordingly. He wasn't hanging tough when he gave that half ass attempt tp regain control of his fumble dude! He was like a deer in the headlights no warrior there.

There was a moment where Hurts was so lowkey and comfortable in the pocket that he could have called ahead to order a pizza for after the game and still completed a pass.

Eagles upswing pretty much started since they took a huge gamble on the big Aussie. Note how healthy their QBs have been since.

I knew it was done the moment Purdy got injured. As the commentators said, eventually you run out of cards and just can't build a hand. Purdy was essentially the last card in the deck. It's actually for the best that the Niners lost this one, now they can get their players healthy again and put up another run next year. They would have been destroyed in the Super Bowl this depleted anyway. Still...a very enjoyable season!

yea we got blessed, but it was not a freak injury, it was our defense imposing our will. Those defenders get paid to make plays like that, and the 9ers could not block us. Was gonna be a long game for purdy injury or not. had a turnover first drive of game.....

But I like sports and like seeing good sportsmanship and high quality play…..but I guess by default I root for the browns because I’m in cleveland and root for the bengals because it’s Ohio, but anything out of that it’s fair game.

@@ssessie it’s not cap, the commentators will always mention this game for our next few meetings, which are quite rare considering we only ever do in the playoffs really. The players also will be going into the game remembering what happened last time, and it was a messy game at the end in terms of player conduct. 49ers will play with a vengeance whenever we next play them.

I know it may be overlooked in this game but let's take time to give props to the offensive line. These men eat! Not only do they keep Jalen upright but they make running lanes the whole game. A special shout out to Lane Johnson. When I first heard he was gonna put off surgery I said "there's no way he finishes the post season." Not only is he finishing it but he's doing so dominantly. This man had Bosa give up on a pass play in the first quarter. First Ballot HoFer.
