Aztecs defense is poetry in motion. I love watching their suffocating defense and making their opponents miss 3’s. They been doing it all season and the opposing fans always claim their team had a “bad shooting night”. No, your team got out played defensively. How many more times are we going to hear it again this season? Hopefully 3 more times. GO AZTECS!

There sure are a lot of blocked shots this year ! It is a great addition to the excitement of the game.

It was 39-48, Alabama up with 11:30 to go and the rest was history. SDSU went on a 32-16 run to close the game! Wow!

I will forever thank Darrion Trammel for saving us when we went down by 9 and he single-handedly brought us back into the game. Dude really won it for us on the offensive side

As a SDSU alum, I am so proud of these boys. I was going to school during the Kawhi Leonard era and watched them fall in the sweet 16 to by 3 points to UCONN, then had to see the 30-1 Aztecs (as well as the rest of the NCAA) not get to play in the 2020 tourney because of COVID. This victory was a long time coming.

Trammell was a straight up dawg. When we needed him most he pull out the napoleon complex and took over the game. absolutely woke us up with that 3 and the steal for the easy layup. what a game to get us to the elite 8

There are just so many players of equal talent now. In other words, just about everybody now can play a little bit of basketball.

The only NCAA championship I saw SDSU win was the 1973 volleyball championship. Basketball was so so as it was football continuing on from Don Coryell that held my attention. Yet, today, Wow way to go. SDSU '76.

These Aztecs lost in the Championship game, but I think they'll be a presence in the tournament for years to come. I remember that volleyball title because two of their players went on to help the U.S. win a gold medal in the Olympics. SDSU '76.

I’ve seen Arkansas at Florida during 2008 and the officiating crew cost Ark the game by incorrectly crediting 24 points, not including 3 PI missed (all 3 were call PI or never ref again. Not 1 but 3 zebras made that concession

Yeah razorback fan remember playing you guys early in the season with brazille was healthy and you guys nearly beat us. So glad to see you guys beat alabama. Now San Diego State will have a chance to for redemption for last year’s loss. Last year the Aztecs had a 9 point lead late in the game against Creighton but they blew it and lost in OT. Now a year later the two teams are facing off for a trip to the Final Four

Looking back at this game, I don’t know what’s better. The fact that my favorite team beat the number 1 overall seed in the tournament or that we eliminated one of the most hated players in college basketball history. You can decide for yourself.

Well THAT was fun. Best Aztec win ever! Let's go boys and take it all.

Brandon Miller even killed Alabamas title chances. This man is a menace.

They recruit team players who just want to win for their Head Coach, coaches, University and most of all their teammates and themselves. What a great group of players who are setting the Bar.

Ironic how Alabama loses to a team that Arkansas beat in non conference play. Then again Alabama wasn't great at non conference play in general. It couldn't be because Alabama got preferential officiating during SEC play.

Alabama fans are so idiotic they think they’re good when reality, they’re a terrible program that has good seasons every once in a while. We had a down year. They had the best year of their programs history, and they only made the Sweet 16 they couldn’t make it farther than us😂

Honestly, haven't been following them much since I'm a UCLA fan but I'm aware of their history and I was watching their(SDSU) press conference yesterday and one thing sticks out is confidence. From the head coach to the players. And there they were, beating the number one seed. Survive and move on and should make them the best in California. Congratulations. This doesn’t surprise me one bit, San Diego State has only lost around 3 games since December. Alabama has been overrated since Nate Oats became head coach and is known to choke (especially in the sweet 16) over the past few seasons.

@@lisacateyes53 not saying Bama was a bad team, but they were definitely overrated. SEC basketball isn’t exactly the highest caliber division in college basketball, and Bama saw many close calls and defeats which made them not really deserve a #1 ranking as much.

at this point you can’t be surprised anymore, if you look at the remaining teams left in the tournament it’s a bunch of 3-4 year veterans finally clicking and taking out 1-2 year rookies who have draft implications in the big schools, even if they have seniors on the teams as well. Alabama had one bad night, that one bad night sent them packing

They didn’t have a bad night. If you have watched any Aztec games this season you would see how their defense suffocates their opponents. Reminds me of a huge anaconda slowly squeezing their prey to death. Their bench is so deep that they can constantly keep the pressure without getting tired.
