I do not understand how there's any money for sponsorship in paintball anymore. I used to play it and still love watching it but there's hardly any viewership. Doesn't make sense how any team can afford players who do this full time.

This camera angle’s perfect for the sport. It almost feels like the close ups for war films like you’re in the action. I bet you if you improve the camera angles like this one, viewership would improve.

@@onenessmediastudios472 You can always tell where the most frequent shot exchanges will occur. Having cameras there would be nice. Seeing the two players shooting at each other would be much better than watching someone shooting somewhere you can't see where the shots are going to.

It doesn't really make sense to film sports with a large sensor camera that puts so much bokeh into things and it spends alot of time hunting for focus, it feel like TV style lenses on smaller sensors makes way more sense, as this has alot of information of the game lost so that it can look more cinematic and less like sports. Don't get me wrong it looks very fancy, but some likely much cheaper prosumer camcorders would probably result in a more followable match than this.

This look comes from the fact that a dslr is significantly less then what you are taking about. Video for paintball was really an amateur thing for a long time, with people like DQ Films and stealth media. A lot of people are now part of the industry and have just kept going with what has worked for them in the past.

@@-gator4732 I am not saying they need to use $250K parafocal zoom TV lenses, merely a $1.7K Panasonic HC-X1500 would do a much better job than an A7s3, r5, etc for a fraction of the price of those cameras, much less the lens which comes built into a HC-x1500. I tried to record some paintball on my Olympus EM-1 MK II with the 14-150 lens and ran into this exact same issue, that a cheap camcorder actually did better than my much more expensive mirrorless setup.
