The Spurs have to include Sochan in the deal. I agree Markkanen on the Spurs would be incredible, but they've got exceed the offer that the Warriors are offering. Wiggins, Moody, Podz, 2 or 3 picks for Markkanen and Clarkson. The Jazz want Kuminga included in that deal, but the Warriors will not give him up because they believe quite a bit in him. Just like the Kings, they were willing to offer Harry Barnes, Huerter, and 2 or 3 picks, but the Jazz didn't budge, all because they wanted Keegan Murray in the deal. Simply put the Jazz don't just want a player that matches salary and 2 or 3 picks, they want a player that matches salary, a young foundational piece and those 2 or 3 picks. (probably more towards 3 or 4 since you 're talking to Danny Ainge. I don't think what you're thinking is enough for Ainge to say yes, it doesn't beat the Warriors or Kings previous offers. Sochan must be included as well Keldon Johnson and at least 3 picks (one being their own 2025 draft pick), and then I think you would be beating the Warriors and Kings offers, and you I think Danny Ainge would say yes.

Sochan's suffocating defense and his continued development after the failure of the point guard experiment, and the Spurs owing him because of that failure, makes him a starter on the Spurs to open the season.

Spurs don't waste your time take your time getting players!

The only way for the Spurs to gain Lauri Markkanen is to give away a treasure trove of future draft picks and at least one or more players on their current roster. As a Spurs fan, I would rather pass and continue to build through the draft in 2025 and 2026, and into the future. Let the Jazz peddle Markkanen to the Golden State Warriors.

Jordan Clarkson would be a nice fit with the Spurs along with Markenen Clarkson is from San Antonio I think he would be thrilled to play here plus Everyone wants to play with Wemby. Spurs can trade Keldon and Tre Jones or even Sochan plus 2 of their unprotected 1st round picks and they would be absolutely fine. Spurs get Atlanta picks for next 3 years and still get the Bulls and Celtics picks too
