    truee but against magnus a lot of people will just put pieces on decent squares and go for the draw.. which makes it hard bcs magnus has to take unnecessary risks just to avoid draws

    @@williamtempleton1823 I think what he means is that he puts pieces on perfect squares which allow maximum efficiency. Thus making the game very plain and drawish. With perfect play, white should be able to get a draw.

    I have no idea how to play but it’s so satisfying to see them move the pieces and intense thought and the handshake at the end just 🤯 I love chess having no clue the moves being made. Love Chessbase India 🇮🇳 👏🏼

    @@user-bm6ck4pm2y I meant the position before Magnus played Nf4. White played Nf5 - so wondered why not just capture on e5 with the rook instead of Nf5

    i was considering that as wel, but i think that after b3 bxa5 qxa5 bxb3 bxb3 and a move like qb4 to get the pawn back, white has just a comfortably better position after moves like ngf5 or nc4

    Because if knight takes pawn most probably knight should be back their early position and with only sacrifice of 1 pawn white 2 move ahead can open their best attacker and result could be in favour of white atlast and this is simple acknowledgement if you know chess

    In Chess its not allowed anymore to capture on pawns on e5, this rule was changed after the 9nth World Cup Match of Carlsen-nepomniatchi in 2021

    if Rxe5 Nd3 and the b2 pawn is falling after which Carlsen would have a passed B pawn.

    @@thijmen6451 Yes but only after Samval played Nf5, which allowed Magnus to play Nf4. I still don’t see why Samval did not capture the e5 pawn immediately.
