My favorite thing about Samurai Jack is that from start to finish, Genndy Tartakovsky told the story HE wanted to tell for his creation. His words in an interview when asked about the division between fans about the ending are perfection. "The tale of Samurai Jack is and always was a tragedy. His story is not about happiness, but sacrifice and duty."

There's more to it really. According to the manga which never aired, Jack truly found a new perspective for life after all of this. He commited himself into a life of studies and knowledge for the greater good and eventually even became a tutor and a teacher. Having grown through all the hardships and after deciding to take on a different life, he even wondered how Aku created his seven daughters and even tried to do the same for himself by the simplest of methods because he just could not let go of Ashi. Using Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice, he planned on creating the perfect little girls...

Thank you for sharing this video ❤. "Samurai Jack" was indeed a legendary show, a true classic that takes me back to the good old days when I used to watch it on Cartoon Network after coming back from school. Additionally, the new season elevated it to new heights with an outstanding storyline. Unfortunately, I couldn't find enough time to watch it, but it's great to hear that it ended on a positive note, and the story finally concluded.

Jack not telling anyone his real name is actually a stroke of genius on his part. He knew that Aku would be able to find him way faster if people were running around talking about a samurai with his family’s name. And of course being the one who sent him to the future Aku would know it was him. It was smart but makes me kind of sad knowing not even the Scottsman knew his real name

Samurai Jack was a part of my childhood and it wasn’t until I was an adult that it really didn’t have an ending. That was a few years back and then this weekend I clicked on adult swim and saw new episodes and it brought me right back to me getting home, turning on Cartoon Network and catching an episode. I can’t wait to rewatch the entire thing

I felt that Jack should've defeated aku in the future then given the opportunity to return to the past only to refuse it and either to be a wandering samurai helping the helpless or become some sort of benevolent emperor over a world he's come to accept and love. I feel like his return to the past dismissed everything he done on his journey

Killing aku in the future and not the past is essentially willfully damning his parents and everyone else in his original time going forward for however long till he is originally dropped off. Jack isn’t that type of person, as we’ve seen many times over.

@Juuwio wrong. You seem to forget something called "The butterfly effect". The further back in time you go, the more catastrophic the effects could be. Jack is literally transported back thousands of years, if not possibly millions. Do you know how much shit happens in just a year, let alone thousands? All it takes is one ancestor from the previous timeline NOT meeting their original spouse and generations of people never are born. It's called basic biology, which with how the western world has gone, I'll understand if you've never heard of it. Biology tells us that out DNA is coded from random selection of our parents DNA. Your mom might have said something like a previous boyfriend might have been your dad instead of your dad, but that's not how biology works. Without the EXACT two people who made you, you wouldn't be around, period.

@@aurawolf2221I believe another comment stated that there was also an alternate ending where the gods make Ashi exist as a reward to Jack for destroying the evil they couldn't stop, but the ending was cut or something. Honestly, the alternative sounds WAY more legit and I'm going to chose to accept that one; why should the gods not award Jack? Granting Ashi life would be a perfect reward.
