I still have it

The water unlock is very nostalgic. Used to have one as both my tablet and phone since I couldn’t afford to have a mobile data subscription. The mathematical formula feature made my lecturer amazed that he banned me from using it in his class lol. Till the day I broke it after it was exposed to rainwater and it’s stuck in bootloop. Rip galaxy note 10.1. It was one of my fav device that I had had.

Hearing that water unlock sound hit me with nostalgia. Mine is stuck on a boot loop and the power button is broken but I am currently fixing that by taking them out. I'm planning to install LineageOS and I hope FOSS apps like NewPipe, GfxTablet (or Weylus), Tachiyomi and Shosetsu works

Nostalgia! I used mine all throughout high school. S Note was the shit. Best device I've ever owned. Though, mine seems to have had an older software. The navigation buttons were to the left and the drop down menu was in the lower right corner, not the top.

After I changed the software, it is important that the touch does not work while taking notes for me that the s-pen feature works.

Mine is nearly new. Battery health at 85% 🤯. I just wanna know how can I use it safely. Not been on for 5yrs+. It just started up perfectly but battery ended up needing charging after I checked few things. Anyone have any tips to use it today safely? Is it still supported etc? I'm worried about my personal data robbed etc. It's the best tablet I've used. The stylus was so precise etc. Wouldn't mind either using it for a secondary Google or send it away for recycle but few I tried, even to recycle, aren't interested!

Nice video but it would have been better if you showed us how quick/slow it was running some apps on the unlocked OS.

This tablet has above average support for postmarketOS but i suggest you wait until the installer images arrive as installation from twrp doesn't work and installing directly to an sdcard makes the tablet freeze for minutes during heavy usage of the sdcard

Can you make a video on how to still use this tablet today in 2024?

I flashed mine to Lineage 16 but now loads of apps crash constantly. Google earth will start, then crash, even Amazon will crash and close. Is there a better custom ROM to be using that's more stable? I know it only has 2gb of RAM, but my Kindle fire 7 has 1gb of ram and is more stable, just slow.

I did same and keyboard wouldn't pop up no matter what I did which is a shame, so I out it back to original firmware.

@@wdio212 I just tried to install it, it turns out that normal calls can't be done because the sim card can't be used and for whatsapp it can, but whatsapp calls can't either! the problem is that this tablet has not been used for about 5 years, found it in the warehouse this afternoon and I plan to give it to my 2-year-old child to watch KZread. Yes, it 's a good tablet. If you wanna use and maximize the s pen function you should not upgrade it. But if you not bother about the s pen function you can upgrade it and make the best out of it. I suggest you to upgrade it.

You can try to upgrade it to stay uptodate. Just follow the instruction on youtube, there are a lot of videos that show how to do it👍

Just long press on the gallery icon and a pop up bar will appear under the gallery icon. It will show pen symbol, select it, and you can choose to hide your gallery. Hope it will help👍

I had one with custom rom that would made it Android 5 or 6. imo its still strong tablet on 2019 and looks like it age well in 2023. If I remember correctly I would have used Brave for youtube. Browsing is still good speed. First Ipad age terribly I remember my uncle has it and told me to fix it. I said I can't fix it because is very slow and couldn't install many apps. Safari had issue going to websites.
