Thank you so much. The repairman quoted me $600 to fix this same problem, and I had decided I would just buy a new stove for that price. With your help, I was able to fix it for $90. It was awesome to save the money, but also empowering to discover I could do it myself!!

Same issue on both double burners. Fixed left one by removing connectors and applying contact cleaner. Then the right burner started acting up and the cleaning fix didn't work. This started with a five-year old range, which says a lot about Samsung ranges. The parts aren't cheap either.

It's not a Samsung thing. It's one of the most common repairs with stovetops. This could have easily been a Whirlpool or GE. There are hundreds of youtube videos showing such reoairs. The biggest culprit I've found is that people typically use the same burner over and over. To get longer life....spread the love...rotate the crops...or use whatever analogy you like to remind yourself to use different burners when possible.

Id have to respectfully disagree. Just because this is a well known issue with all the brands, doesnt mean its not an issue with Samsung as an individual. That is the company selling the product I purchased. They made or sourced the components for their product, so they are accountable. This is a well known issue, historically speaking. They should do better, and supply units that are more reliable. Or offer a reasonable remedy.

Good video. I’d like to add that you should turn off the circuit breaker before unplugging the oven. I learned this the hard way. Also, the replacement part came with a completely different set of connections, so I had to translate it so take multiple photos from different angles as some wires might cover up the view of another. There’s also two of these on my oven so got to buy another.

Our Samsung FE-R300SX just started doing the very same thing now on the two front burners. You had to open the broiler door to get to the model number. Curious to see our range was manufactured in Thailand on March 2012. We purchased it in April 2012. I wonder if these equivalent ranges are now all made in China. Anyways, thanks to your video we can quick fix the problem. Thanks!

I currently have a gas range in the home I'm renting so this obviously doesn't apply to my living situation at the moment but I've always wondered, are the infinite switches interchangeable between the glass radiant cooktops and the older style coil cooktops as long as the number of elements (single size, 6/9, 6/9/12 inch) and wattage match or are very close? In case my next house comes with an electric range.

I was trying to replace a burner regulator on my Samsung (model NE59M4320SS) and gave up as I was unable to pull out one of the Molex connectors from the old regulator (the white connector with the double red wire). It just wouldn't come out no matter how hard I pulled so eventually I just stopped as I was afraid to damage the connector. All the other wires came out pretty easily. Just for comparison, I also tried to pull out that same connector from the other fast boil burner regulator and it would not come out either. I am thinking it must be designed this way and there is probably some kind of an inside lock or something, but I just cannot figure it out. Any advice?
