The trick was turning the soundbar OFF first before holding mute.

Omg you deserve 5 stars lol…… it took me 3 days trying to find a video that was soooooo simple. Turn soundbar off Reset 5 seconds(until blue light flash) Hold and press mute on remote Turn on soundbar/ magic it syncs(solid blue light) Connect ☺️ Thank you again!!!!!! Must have remote. I bought a replacement on Amazon $9 bucks

Samsung tech support had me reset everything and that fixed all problems!
