It is considerably easier to start with the two screws on the back, shown at 1:44. This will allow the scanner unit to be lifted, giving much easier access to the first three screws underneath the unit, without the need to use any special tools. Also, in order to remove the document feeder hinges, they have to be pulled out vertically (it wasn't clear from the video due to the filming angle). I had to apply quite a bit of force, but be sure to apply it gradually, until they pop out.

What did you use to lubricate the rod and gears? I heard lithium grease is not good for plastic and rubber.

scx4200 scanner error at power on self-test. Does not recognize home position. Replaced flat cable, scanner module and cleaned the black stripe under the glass home position. what else can I do to solve the problem?

@@MrRicoh I have already tried, I bought him a new tonner, changed the part that heats the fuser something like that, and I bought him new cartridges. and the same fault continues, it prints half a sheet well and the other half sheet is very light or blurred, and now I have another new fault, since yesterday it does not want to recognize the new cartridges, it tells me that it is incompatible.

This didn't seem to solve the problem for my scanner. I even exchanged the CCD cable, but still something is bothering it. The scanning unit moves a little bit, then stops and the error message occurs (the scanning units' light is shining in red colour). If I detach the black rubber belt from the scanning unit, the same issues - any more ideas, what I could try? It would be so great to get it working again!

Wykonaj czynności serwisowe takie same jak pokazałem na filmie. Prawdopodobnie znajdziesz na zębatce silnika jakieś zabrudzenia.

i have samsung 4070fr its toner is printing out whole page black. i have changed pcr, drum and also refill it. in fact when i refill it and change drum after this it is printout black page. plss tell me solution

You made a mistake in regeneration. You installed the housings incorrectly or small gills from the ground. Not under voltage on the charge roller or drum. You may have buckled the gills and there's no contact.

The drum cannot be checked. The drum unit needs to be replaced with a new one and it will be fine.

@@frank.s74 Same here with M2070FW , my scans has darkisch spots. And upon observation of the glass when cleaning I can see the other side of the glas is dirty with cloth streaks, perhaps from factory like that or static dust collecting.
